It was a pleasure to spend this week in Tishi and Mads flat. It is clean and comfortable.
Their home is located in a very modern and peaceful area where many young couples with children live. There are not many places to go out at night but you have supermarkets and bakeries next door.
To go downtown we mainly used the train (3min from the flat) as it is closer than the metro station (12min). Tishi and Mads where very good Communicators and gave us useful tips.
Tishi's and Mads's home in Copenhagen is perfect-- especially if you have kids! We loved their light and bright, modern apartment, which had pleasant views, every amenity you need, and a fabulous location. We had plenty of space, a well-stocked kitchen, and even use of their two-kid stroller for getting around town. They're just a 3-minute walk from the nearest S-tog (metro train) station, which allowed us to travel all over the city and region easily. And as a bonus, there are some of the best pastries you'll ever have available at the bakery downstairs. Truly no complaints-- this was one of the best exchange homes yet!
We welcomed Tishi, Mads and their two boys in our house the day before we flew to Copenhagen. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet and to spend an evening together.
As we have a big house with many art pieces and other objects reachable by the young children, it has been quite a challenge for them to manage. Unfortunately, an art piece has been broken. They have contacted their insurance right away and their insurance covered the damage.
We appreciated the good communication we had together.
Tishi and Mads are serious people that we recommend.
Tishi, Mads, and their two kids were the perfect guests. They took excellent care of our home, and everything was neat and tidy when we got home. They were excellent and prompt communicators. We would host them again any time!
Fred and Mares warmly welcomed us to their beautiful, spacious, and artistic home. We even had the chance to enjoy a meal together on the first night—a rare treat during a simultaneous swap—that truly helped us feel settled in. The highlight of our stay was relaxing on the garden deck, soaking up the warm sun. With all the artistic pieces it is not so friendly for small kids. Fred and Mares were always available with helpful tips, making our experience even more enjoyable.
Fred and Mares left our home clean and tidy, taking great care of everything. They communicated well, answering any questions and letting us know about anything that came up. We’d be happy to welcome them back anytime. They were wonderful guests, and we’d recommend them to anyone doing a home exchange.
Our trip to San Francisco was perfect, thanks to our stay at Laura's place. Since our kids are the same age as hers, everything we needed was readily available. The abundance of toys on each floor kept the kids happily occupied. A big highlight for us was the nearby science museum, which we visited multiple times during our two-week stay. Laura's home, with its beautiful views and amenities, truly felt like a home away from home.
Laura and her family treated our home as if it were their own, even taking care of some laundry! We are delighted to have had such a positive first experience hosting them.

We are an international family of four, with two lively boys aged 2 and 4. Our enthusiasm lies in exploring various parts of the world, and no destination is off-limits for us, as long as it is family-friendly.
We are so excited to start home exchanging as it allows us to explore more and share the beauty of our city with others.
Unfortunately we cannot engage in swaps with households that have cats due to my husband's allergies.
Currently looking for swaps in these periods:
- Easter
- Summer
- Open to 2025 possibilities
