General overview

Our home is simple, peaceful and quiet. With three bedrooms and two separate living areas, and backing onto a nature reserve, there is space for everyone. Only minutes into town and the most beautiful beaches and surf breaks, restaurants and hinterland adventures. Byron Bay is a famous coastal surf town on the Eastern most point of Australia. Well known for its laid-back lifestyle, Byron takes you back to the simplicity of the 70's with all the luxuries of modern life. At times Byron is bursting with tourists enjoying the mild winters, hot summer days and gorgeous beaches. Between holiday periods, it can be very quiet with a really local feel and lots of people getting around on bikes. There is a range of delicious restaurants to dine in, and at night buskers can be found on street corners. Byron township and Industrial estate is well known for its fashion and homewares shopping also. Byron is most well-known for its tropical climate, lush nature and stunning beaches and its East coast Lighthouse Walk. With white sand and a large variety of surf breaks to choose from, the area is loved by surfers and beach goers. Surf breaks include Main Beach, The Wreck, Clarks, The Pass (heaven for longboarders), Wategos, Tallows, Broken Head, Whites Beach, Lennox Heads and much more. A marine wonderworld, you are often surfing alongside dolphins and turtles. Whales come into the bay and pass along the coast on their annual migration all the way from July to October. Local kayaking tours allow you to get up very close to whales and dolphins in a relax protected bay ocean. You can also snorkel the shipwreck only 30metres off the shoreline and even just swimming you will often be surrounded by many fish. Like any coastal location, conditions can vary, but for the most part, our beaches are very safe and enjoyable all year-round. The surrounding hinterland it also beautiful to explore with quaint little towns, shops, waterfalls and treks (check out Killen Falls, and Minyon Falls) and the Northern Rivers Rail Trail which you can hire a bike and explore the beauty. Day trips from Byron can see you very quickly back in the hustle bustle of city life on the Gold Coast with theme parks Movie World, Sea World, Dream World, Wet and Wild and so much more action and adventure at your fingertips. We hope you love exploring and living in our region as much as we do.

The space

There are two living areas, both with couches and TV's. One main bathroom with a bath and shower, and one ensuite with shower attached to the master bedroom. There are 3 bedrooms, a King bed, Queen bed, and Double bed. There is also a large beanbag which converts to a queen mattress if you require additional sleeping options. Each bedroom opens out to an outdoor area surrounded by garden. The kitchen and dining area is light filled and overlooks a lush tropical backyard. There is outdoor dining table, undercover outdoor seated area and a fire pit in the backyard.

Guest access

Our house is a one story house and easily accessible. There are two locations within the house with two small steps .

Notes

Due to our tropical climate, there are many creatures around our home and sometimes in our home. Geckos and skinks are commonly seen inside and outside the house and our backyard has regular visits from Kookaburras, Brush Turkeys, and sometimes echidnas. Sometimes pythons (snakes) are also found in our neighborhood, however they shy away from humans and mostly remain unseen. Koalas are also common in our neighbourhood. We have a mini schnoodle, Benji, who lives with us and can be part of exchanges or relocated to stay with friends if that is preferable.
