We stayed for a week at Peta and Alex’s condo in the Potts Point neighborhood of Sydney Australia. It was everything we could have wanted and we are very grateful for the opportunity to stay there. Communication with Peta before and during our exchange was second to none.
The suite was open and comfortable with a nice open balcony to enjoy the evenings. The local residents of the suite (Peta’s cats Tilly and Nellie) were very welcoming and friendly. Tilly in particular loved to come snuggle and purr on the sofa.
The location of the suite is ideal. It’s away from the noise of the city center but very close to the Kings Cross metro station which connects Potts Point to everything else. The metro system is fairly easy to navigate and we were quickly getting around like locals. The neighborhood itself is quiet and serene with grocery stores, restaurants, shops and even excellent gelato within a couple of minutes walk.
If you prefer walking instead of using the metro line, it’s a great half-hour walk from the condo, past the navy shipyard and through the botanical gardens to reach the Sydney Opera House and the Circular Quay which is an awesome ferry hub to explore the area.
We have looked forward to visiting Sydney for years and Peta and Alex’s suite made an ideal place to call our home away from home. Our sincere thanks for letting us stay in their home.
