Neighbourhood
Bundeena is a village within a National Park which has spectacular famous walks and iconic landmarks such as Wedding Cake Rock, there are 4 beaches, kayak hire, a great club with bistro food, 4 cafes, parks, supermarket, etc. It is very easy to walk everywhere in Bundeena, once you arrive you can leave the car parked. Bundeena is composed of local and holiday homes it is a very arty area, local artists open their homes/studios every month to show an sell their work. There is a quaint ferry to take people across the water to Cronulla. It is located around 45 minutes south of the Sydney airport.
Getting around
You can walk everywhere in Bundeena, there is a local ferry and local bus. You can get to Bundeena via train and ferry but a car is necessary to explore further areas.

We have met Peta many times over the PLU years, and she generously offered us a stay in her beautiful home in Bundeena. Bundeena is a great little community on the very southern fringe of Sydney. You can drive there but you definitely don't need a car as it's very small and you can get a ferry over from Cronulla instead. That also makes a great day trip. This is a relaxing place .. small and quiet, great beaches and nature, but plenty of local conveniences too like an IGA, a couple of cafes, pizza place, burger shop and a few others. The home itself is fantastic and just as described, really well maintained, and with everything you'll ever need. You'll love sitting on the deck of an afternoon! Peta is really easy to communicate with. This is highly recommended for your Sydney getaway! -
We had an amazing stay in Peta's home in Bundeena. The home is amazing, huge and extremely comfortable. You can go to Cronulla with a boat and you can stay there enjoy the amazing national parks around. She was very helpful sent us all the information before we arrived. I would definitely stay there again, we had such a nice time. Recommended host!

Alex and I live Potts Point just minutes from Sydney CBD. Lambeth Walk Beach Home, Bundeena and Jacksons Cottage are our holiday homes. We are avid travellers and go overseas at least 3 times a year, we have been to many parts of the world. We would love to swap overseas and in beautiful Australia on a very regular basis. We are open to all offers.
At the moment we are looking for France or Northern Spain for a few days in early August 2024 and London and Finland for a white Christmas in 2025.
We do prefer cities to quiet country areas. Usually there are only 2 of us travelling although sometimes we might travel with a couple of family members.
