Neighbourhood
Bundeena is a village within a National Park which has spectacular famous walks and iconic landmarks such as Wedding Cake Rock, there are 4 beaches, kayak hire, a great club with bistro food, 4 cafes, parks, supermarket, etc. It is very easy to walk everywhere in Bundeena, once you arrive you can leave the car parked. Bundeena is composed of local and holiday homes it is a very arty area, local artists open their homes/studios every month to show an sell their work. There is a quaint ferry to take people across the water to Cronulla. It is located around 45 minutes south of the Sydney airport.
Getting around
You can walk everywhere in Bundeena, there is a local ferry and local bus. You can get to Bundeena via train and ferry but a car is necessary to explore further areas.

We stayed for a week at Peta and Alex’s condo in the Potts Point neighborhood of Sydney Australia. It was everything we could have wanted and we are very grateful for the opportunity to stay there. Communication with Peta before and during our exchange was second to none. The suite was open and comfortable with a nice open balcony to enjoy the evenings. The local residents of the suite (Peta’s cats Tilly and Nellie) were very welcoming and friendly. Tilly in particular loved to come snuggle and purr on the sofa. The location of the suite is ideal. It’s away from the noise of the city center but very close to the Kings Cross metro station which connects Potts Point to everything else. The metro system is fairly easy to navigate and we were quickly getting around like locals. The neighborhood itself is quiet and serene with grocery stores, restaurants, shops and even excellent gelato within a couple of minutes walk. If you prefer walking instead of using the metro line, it’s a great half-hour walk from the condo, past the navy shipyard and through the botanical gardens to reach the Sydney Opera House and the Circular Quay which is an awesome ferry hub to explore the area. We have looked forward to visiting Sydney for years and Peta and Alex’s suite made an ideal place to call our home away from home. Our sincere thanks for letting us stay in their home. -
We have met Peta many times over the PLU years, and she generously offered us a stay in her beautiful home in Bundeena. Bundeena is a great little community on the very southern fringe of Sydney. You can drive there but you definitely don't need a car as it's very small and you can get a ferry over from Cronulla instead. That also makes a great day trip. This is a relaxing place .. small and quiet, great beaches and nature, but plenty of local conveniences too like an IGA, a couple of cafes, pizza place, burger shop and a few others. The home itself is fantastic and just as described, really well maintained, and with everything you'll ever need. You'll love sitting on the deck of an afternoon! Peta is really easy to communicate with. This is highly recommended for your Sydney getaway! -
We had an amazing stay in Peta's home in Bundeena. The home is amazing, huge and extremely comfortable. You can go to Cronulla with a boat and you can stay there enjoy the amazing national parks around. She was very helpful sent us all the information before we arrived. I would definitely stay there again, we had such a nice time. Recommended host!

Alex and I live Potts Point just minutes from Sydney CBD. Lambeth Walk Beach Home, Bundeena and Jacksons Cottage are our holiday homes.
We are avid overseas and domestic travellers and love receiving offers. We have a variety of open periods at our Sydney properties please contact us for availability.
