Neighbourhood
Pankow is a green, relaxed, and family-friendly part of Berlin — great cafés, bakeries, supermarkets, and parks. You get the calm of a neighborhood while still being well connected to central Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte, etc.).
Getting to my home
Our home is in Berlin-Pankow, inside the historic Alte Mälzerei (a former factory conversion). The easiest public-transport hub is S+U Pankow, which connects you quickly to the whole city.
Than walk a bit through Florastraße.
Nearest airport
From Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER)
• Take regional/S-Bahn into the city (often via Ostkreuz or Berlin Hbf), then continue to S+U Pankow.
• From S+U Pankow you can continue by tram/bus/taxi for the last short leg.
• We recommend checking the BVG app / Google Maps on the day for the fastest connection (Berlin has frequent line changes due to works).
From Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Central Station)
• Take S-Bahn or U-Bahn connections towards S+U Pankow.
• From S+U Pankow it’s a short ride further by tram/bus, or a quick taxi ride if you have luggage.
Getting Around
Getting around Berlin from here
• S+U Pankow gives you very fast access to central areas like Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte, Alexanderplatz, etc.
• Day trips are easy by train via Gesundbrunnen / Hauptbahnhof (lakes, forests, Potsdam, etc.).
Local transport
• Very good coverage with S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram and bus in the area.
• Bikes also work great (Berlin is very bike-friendly).
By car
• Easy to reach by car, and parking is typically possible in the surrounding streets (as in most Berlin neighborhoods, availability varies by time/day).

Cosmin, Silvia, and Paul were the perfect guests. They took care of our home (and plants!) as their own, and I never worried about things while I was away for a month. They were communicative and friendly. I had an emergency and needed an item sent to me, and Cosmin kindly helped me out. Our flat was in great condition upon our return. I would be happy to host them again.
Although we only chatted virtually, Cosmin, Sylvia & Paul were lovely to meet. I think we had good communication all the way through and expectations were fulfilled for a great swap. They were very respectful guests and left our place very clean & tidy. We would definitely do it again, we can highly recommend swapping with them. Thanks again guys for being lovely guests.
Tiffany’s flat in Richmond was a wonderful place to stay for our month-long exchange. The location is excellent, with easy access to London and a very charming neighborhood. The flat itself had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We especially loved the patio filled with flowers and enjoyed taking care of them during our stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. We gone miss Richmond and London.
Tiffany was a very respectful and considerate guest. She left our home in a very clean state and took great care of our garden, which we really appreciated. Communication with her was easy and friendly throughout. She is a very easy going person and her kids are super lovely.
They left a great present for my son.
Pam and Frank flat it is very nice, tidy and well equipped.
The extremely lively neighborhood Oberkassel is super interesting, because it looks a lot like Copenhagen an posh.
Pam and Frank are super warm and welcoming people.
They gave us a lot of presents and offered us many tips about Dusseldorf.
After their stay, our flat was very clean and tidy.

We are a family of three that lives in a charming loft in a former malt factory from Pankow, Berlin. Our family includes us, a couple who loves exploring new cultures, and our cheerful 8-year-old son. We are looking forward to spending the summer holidays immersed in an English-speaking environment to help our son improve his language skills.
We’d love to exchange homes for a family who would enjoy discovering the beauty and culture of Berlin. Our home is cozy, family-friendly, and perfect for exploring this wonderful city.
You are not allowed to smoke inside the flat or in the balcony.
If you’re interested in a cultural and linguistic adventure, we’d love to connect!
Given the current political situation in the United States and concerns about how foreign visitors may be treated, we’ve decided that the USA is unfortunately not a travel destination for us right now.
