This small but comfy house has a great sentimental value for me because I spent most part of my childhood there. It is located 10 minutes walk from the city center. The house is at the bottom of a quiet dead end in a residential area. Behind the house there is narrow path leading to the pretty village called chamarandes - choignes.
Chaumont is a small town with interesting medieval history. It is also the seat of the county council of Haute Marne. The people of Chaumont are pleasant and many of them do not imagine themselves living elsewhere because life is so peaceful and comfortable there.
The newly inaugurated aquatic and cultural site Palestra will entertain you whether you are a fan of Volleyball (CVB52, very good national team), concerts or slides and water games in our new swimming pool for all age.
The new Relax is THE new theatre stage in chaumont, with many local and national artists. The graphic design museum Le Signe is also à must-seen. The international poster festival is a real asset for the city. The old town is very interesting for its architecture, the dungeon will offer you a magnificent view of the Marne valley. Don't miss a walk on our Viaduc by day or even by night. For bars, you will have to go to the bistrot Le Parisien, which for more than 50 years has been the place to be in Chaumont, "aperos" on the terrace in winter and summer! And theme parties on weekends.
The Charles de Gaules memorial is 25 minutes away by car if you want to know more this great man who saves France during WW2.
I also recommend to visit the famous fortress town of Langres , have a walk around the ramparts or take the little train.
Near Langres, there are 4 very well equipped lakes to cool off in the summer or to practice water sports ( the lake of Charmes is my favorite)
By train or by car you can easily visit the cities of Dijon and Beaune if you enjoy good wine and gastronomy. As well as other cities in the Grand Est like Nancy or Troyes just 1h30 away (the factory outlets are really worth it for shopping-addicts!)
The space
The house is well laid out, 2 bedrooms upstairs with two double beds. Downstairs a larger bedroom and a king-sized bed with direct access to the south-facing terrace. The living / dining room is very bright with a large 8 people table. A pretty veranda gives you access to the other terrace (not overlooked). The garden is fully enclosed and secure for children but also our fur-friends who are all welcomed. The kitchen is small but functional. You will have TV, DVD player and WiFi of course.
Guest access
I live 20 minutes away from the house and I am available any time .
Notes
I m also a petgroomer and petsitter. I can take care of pets while you are visiting.
