We have a beautiful country house in the rural hamlet of Le Cluzeau. The house is tranquil and peaceful, set in gardens of 1.5 acres, yet only a few minutes drive from Bessines-Sur-Gartempe, and 30 minutes drive from the city and airport of Limoges. If you want a quiet holiday in a beautiful home, plenty of activities during the daytime and fun family nights in, this is the place for you!

O espaço

The house contains a fully equipped kitchen, furnished living room and separate dining area, overlooking the beautiful garden that wraps around the house. Outside is another dining table where you can relax and enjoy the views of the peaceful surroundings. You can enjoy the wealth of cd’s, dvd’s, books and games available to you, or make use of the full sized pool table and darts board in the games room. A Wii is also available to use with plenty of fun games including karaoke. The ground floor contains a toilet with separate walk in shower. Under the stairs you will find a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The first floor has two double bedrooms and a single bedroom, all lovingly renovated with antique furniture and displaying original features. In addition there is a family room containing a king size bed with a single bed. All beds have comfortable memory foam mattresses for you to get a great nights sleep. The bathroom is a hub of relaxation with its traditional roll top bath and views over the garden. We also have a complimentary wooden cot which can be moved into the rooms if required. Egyptian cotton bed linen, bath towels and tea towels are included. The house is traditionally built with stone and beams and is surrounded by an extensive garden where you will find many fruit trees, beautiful flower borders and a large expanse of lawn. There is plenty of space in the wraparound garden to take picnics and play games, safe in the knowledge that the fencing means the children can’t leave the area. In the garden we have lots of games for all the family, including a paddling pool, swing / slide, and swingball. There is plenty of parking available. We also have 5 adult bikes for your use and a double childs trailer. There is an adjustable bike rack at the house if you want to take the bikes to ride further afield (bike rack should fit most cars). There is also a company willing to hire and deliver bikes should you want to. From the house is a stunning 10 minute walk to a megalithic Dolmen, beautiful easy walk at dawn and dusk. Please note I am trying to find all the photos of my home at the moment to upload, I do have a word document with more photos, feel free to ask me for it and I can send it over.

Nearest supermarket- Less than 5 mins by Car, we have ridden there on bikes. Bessines Sur Gartempe is a small sleepy French town, a few minutes drive away, with a few cafes, patisseries and restaurants (please note opening hours can be limited). There is also Lake Sagnat, a beautiful swimming lake with its own beach. A bar is close by, a playground for children, and in July / August you should find a lifeguard onsite. The walk around the lake is lovely at just 2 miles long, suitable for children or to complete on bikes. Lac de Saint Pardoux- approx. 9km- This site has only recently been built, and now has fantastic facilities to offer children and families of all ages. On the more serene end, you can enjoy walks around the lake, play in the sandy beach area or some relaxed boating on the lake. For the adventure enthusiasts, you can find abseiling, acrobatic tree adventure parks, mountain bike courses and climbing walls. There is an extensive choice of watersports, from pedalo’s through to water skiing. You can find an indoor and outdoor pool, with plenty of slides too. (Website hidden by Airbnb) Limoges- Approx 35km- This is a beautiful city to visit for the day, with lots of restaurants, bars, shops, museum and porcelain factories- highly recommended. There is a fresh food market on every day, and a monthly antiques and flea market you can visit. Oradour Sur Glane- Approx 55km- Take a step back in time and visit a town that has been untouched since being destroyed by Nazi’s during their occupation of France in World War 2. Parc Zoo du Reynou- Approx 45km- Fantastic zoo set around an old castle, featuring farm animals, lions, leopards, rhino’s etc. Great day out! There are plenty of other towns and attractions to visit locally, with interesting history and sights to see. Further information and flyers available in the house.

Somos novos na troca de casas, com nossa primeira troca de casa planejada para 2 meses na Austrália este ano. Vivemos no Reino Unido e adoramos nossa segunda casa na zona rural da França, mas queremos explorar casas à beira-mar / praia.
