General Overview

Walk south along the Tel Aviv beach. Within a few minutes, you will be transported back in time to Old Jaffa, one of the world’s oldest port cities. In contrast to the skyscrapers and chain hotels of Tel Aviv, Jaffa is a captivating blend of ancient history and modern charm. Nestled along the Mediterranean coast, it offers a unique escape filled with winding cobblestone alleys, stunning sea views, and a vibrant cultural scene. The Old City is a treasure trove of history, with landmarks like St. Peter’s Church, the Jaffa Clock Tower, and ancient stone walls steeped in stories. Art galleries, boutique shops, and bustling markets are tucked into its labyrinth of streets, inviting exploration and discovery. The Jaffa Flea Market is a must-visit, brimming with antiques, handmade goods, and a lively, eclectic energy. Food lovers will revel in Jaffa’s culinary offerings, from authentic Middle Eastern flavors to fresh seafood served in charming restaurants overlooking the sea. The sunsets here are breathtaking, painting the coastline in shades of gold and pink. By night, Jaffa comes alive with cozy cafes, vibrant nightlife, and a romantic ambiance that lingers in the air. Whether you’re drawn by its rich history, artistic vibe, or seaside serenity, If you are an early morning person, you can stroll down to the port and see fishermen still fishing in the Mediterranean.
