Spacious Victorian Terrace in the charming town of Ulverston on the edge of The Lake District, 15 minutes drive and you can be on the edge of Coniston or Windermere.
The space
The house is a large victorian terrace that has been beautifully renovated it has 4 double bedrooms (2 have small double beds in so suitable for children or one adult) and a large bathroom with a separate shower and huge bath. If needed there is a basement with another double bedroom and ensuite.
The kitchen is modern and has a dining area, there are 2 reception rooms one having an open fire perfect for a cosy night in, we have high speed internet so can easily watch films on Netflix.
At the rear there is a paved area with outdoor seating and a bbq, perfect for a summers evening with a glass of rose.
As we have a 4 year old there is a selection of toys for little ones to play with.
Guest access
Four floors with no lift so not suitable for wheelchair users.
Notes
We appreciate the house been left the way you found it, if you would like to have a cleaner come in when you leave this can be arranged at an extra cost. Parking in on the street but no permit needed.
Due to having a young child we’d be able to provide high chair, travel cot, bedding and bed guard if needed.
Due to Covid I think this summer we will be looking at UK breaks for both weekends and longer stays. If the travel restrictions are lifted we will definitely be looking at going abroad, we are hoping to go to Thailand for Christmas and would love to do an exchange.

Neighbourhood
Ulverston is the home town to Stan Laurel, it's a lovely market town with a cobbled street and lots of lovely shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. You are minutes drive away from Coniston and Windermere with lots to see and do locally from walking the mountains to visiting Beatrix Potters home. Every year there are lots of things happening in the town, Dickensian Festival, Another Fine Fest and Lantern Procession to name a few. It really is somewhere special.
Getting around
The town centre and train station is a 5 minute walk away but if you want to explore The Lake District it's best to have a car.

Katie
Hi, we are a family of 3, myself Katie a stay at home Mum who has a couple of rental properties, my partner Tom who has a global role for a big company (if I'm honest I don't know what he does) and our daughter Grace who is 4. We had intended to spend her last year before starting school going on lots of holidays but a certain virus put a stop to that. I love to travel and explore new olaces, I have been lucky to see some amazing parts of the world but there's so much more to see.
I actually did a home exchange over 25 years ago when I was 11 with my family to Atlanta, it was before the internet when you'd get sent a book with everyone in it. It was a great success all these years later I'm still in touch with our exchange family.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
