General Overview

We’ve lived in our home since 2004, and it holds so many special memories for our family. Our kids grew up here, and now our grandkids love to visit—especially for trips to the nearby community lake (5 min walk, beach, park, tennis, pickle ball and more) or to play in the park right behind the house. What we love most is the peaceful, cozy feel of the space and that we are so close to the mountains. It’s quiet, relaxing, and has a welcoming warmth that instantly puts you at ease. The gas fireplace is perfect for curling up in the evenings, and the backyard, with its open green space, is our favorite place to sit and unwind. It’s more than just a house—it’s been our sanctuary for years, and we’re happy to share it with others who will appreciate it too.

The Space

Our home is warm and welcoming, decorated with a cozy country western theme throughout. As our guests, you’ll have full access to the main and second floors and also a developed basement if needed. The main floor features an open-concept kitchen, dining, and living room area with a gas fireplace. Note: You may notice in one of the photos that there is a rifle displayed above the fireplace in the living room. Please be assured that it is a decorative, non-functioning item and not a working firearm. It’s part of our country western theme and poses no safety risk. The area is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Large windows fill the space with natural light. This floor also includes a stylish half bath and a charming laundry room. The main floor received renovations 2 years ago, flooring replaced with laminate plank throughout and fresh coat of paint. Upstairs, you’ll find a spacious master bedroom with a comfy queen-sized bed and a private ensuite. There are also two guest bedrooms, each with their own cozy queen beds, and a full bathroom to share. We provide plenty of fresh towels and linens to make your stay comfortable. There’s also a bonus area with a desk and a stocked book shelf — perfect for remote work or reading, and enough space to add an extra mattress on the floor if needed. If you're looking to explore beyond the city, don't miss Forget Me Not Pond, a peaceful turquoise gem nestled in Kananaskis Country, just a scenic 40-minute drive west of us. It's a perfect spot for a picnic, short walk, or just to soak up the mountain air.

Guest Access

Front door access has pin pad. No keys required. Our garage will not be available as we will store items and our vehicle in there while away. You will have access to the main floor, second floor and also the basement. The basement has a toy room, living area and 3 piece bathroom. No TV in this area.

Notes

We love living here because we're so close to the mountains — Banff and Canmore are only about an hour to an hour and a half away, making them perfect for day trips full of hiking, sightseeing, or just relaxing in nature. Kananaskis National Park is only a 40 minute drive. If you're visiting in early July, you’ll catch the Calgary Stampede, one of the city's biggest events. It kicks off on the first Friday of July every year and runs for 10 days. The whole city gets into the spirit with rodeos, live music, parades, midway rides, and more — it’s an unforgettable experience! For a fun family outing, Heritage Park is just a 10-minute drive from our home. It’s a large historical village with costumed interpreters, a vintage midway, steam train rides, and lots of hands-on activities for kids. If you love dinosaurs, a visit to the world-famous Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller is a must! It’s about a 1.5 to 2-hour drive from Calgary and offers an incredible collection of fossils and interactive exhibits. There’s also plenty of shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores nearby for your convenience. Our home is just a 5-minute walk to our community lake, which is gated. We’re happy to arrange access for you through our family members so you can enjoy all it has to offer — from skating and tobogganing in the winter to swimming, and beach volleyball in the summer. Neighbourhood

We’re located in Calgary’s deep southeast, just a 5-minute drive from the city’s edge and on your way to the mountains. Our location is ideal — close to shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and transit. Banff is only about 1.5 hours away, the Saddledome just 20 minutes, and we’re 5 minutes from the C-Train. Best of all, we’re within walking distance to our beautiful community lake. In winter, enjoy skating, tobogganing, ice fishing, and pick-up hockey games. In the summer, the lake comes alive with swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, paddle boats, waterfalls, playgrounds, and courts for tennis, pickleball, and beach volleyball — and more. We have amazing neighbors who may like to visit if your out in the yard.

Getting to my home

Our home is about a 30-minute drive from the Calgary International Airport. It’s an easy route, mostly on major roads. If you prefer public transit, there are bus stops within walking distance of our home. These connect to the C-Train (Calgary’s light rail transit system), which runs throughout the city and is a convenient way to get around without a vehicle. Whether you’re driving, taking transit, or using a ride-share, getting here is simple — and we’re always happy to help with directions! If you want to explore then renting a vehicle would be the best option. https://www.kayak.com/Calgary-Airport-Car-Rentals.YYC.cap.ksp
