General overview

We are located at the entrance to Paris, in a pretty quiet area with typical housing. The area is very well served: the metro is just a stone's throw away, the tram barely further and many buses pass very close to our home. Two Vélib' stations are nearby. It takes less than 30 minutes to be at Invalides, Champs Elysées or near Notre-Dame by taking the metro. Malakoff is a very pleasant little town where people know each other. The concentration of artists (including visual artists) is surprisingly high there. The city organizes at spaced intervals visits to their workshops where we discover remarkable works at each edition.

The space

Our apartment is a small pleasant and atypical duplex with beautiful volumes: we breathe there. It is very bright. We are quiet there. You can make music there without disturbing the neighbours! You will have at your disposal a piano to indulge your muse if you feel like it. The convertible sofa is a double bed as comfortable as the beds located in the bedrooms. Our apartment is in a small building (6 apartments in total). The neighbors are friendly and calm.

Guest access

Please note: we are on the 2nd floor but there is no lift!

Neighbourhood

We are in the city center sector, close to the town hall. A large market held three times a week in the town hall square. You will find good quality products in the neighborhood: excellent butcher, organic produce store, a very friendly bookshop, a wine merchant where you can sit down to taste their wines, etc. There are also a few supermarkets (Naturalia, Intermarché, Franprix). You will also be able to enjoy the municipal cinema, which offers quality programming, the Théâtre 71 which is a national scene very oriented towards contemporary creation as well as several other cultural places, some of which are really new.

Michaël

We are a small family of 3: Cathy, Michaël and our daughter Naomie. I am a music composer and my wife Cathy is a labor inspector. We speak English fluently and Cathy speaks Italian well. We love all kinds of destinations as long as we can make discoveries or meet great people there. We like to walk, both in the city and in nature, and we travel a lot by bike in Paris (we don't have a car). We enjoy a long mountain hike as much as discovering the secret corners of a capital. We are fond of cultural activities, such as reading, exhibitions (in Paris, there is plenty to do) or concerts. We love good food and our meals are usually lively. We laugh easily. We can also give you some tips for visiting a Paris that is a little less known and... a little less expensive :). Delighted to meet you ! Michael
