General overview
We live in a quirky row house from the 50's with an interesting story. The row houses were originally designed by a group of architects, who were given the land by the university to build their homes. Throughout the house, curious details and small signatures of the first owner can be found.
The space
The heart of the house is the living room and dining area, connected with the kitchen. The windows in the living room sometimes feel like a live painting, when the wind gently moves the leaves of the red Janpanese maple growing in the garden. The living room with its open space and toy corner invites the youngest to play on the floor, while the couch and armchair offer a place to wind down and relax with a book or a glass.
The house has a very functional layout with rooms at every "half-floor". Upstairs there are four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a multi-functional, spacious area in the attic. Three of the bedrooms are children's rooms; there is a boy's room with a bunk bed and bean bags for chilling out, a girl's room with a comfy bed and a hanging rope chair for cosy reading sessions and a children's room with a full-size bed and a baby cot. There's also a master bedroom with a double bed (160 cm).
The attic can be anything between a children's kingdom with hammocks, pillows and dress-up clothes, a home cinema with projector and screen and a big guest room with a comfortable sleeping couch for two, a working desk and a clothes hanger. Downstairs there is also an office and fully equipped laundry room and as our house is the first in the row, it also comes with a cosy little garden.
We moved into this house relatively recently and have not yet done any renovations, but everything is well-functioning and it has been furnished and decorated with love to create a warm and cosy home. What you will love about our home is the personal and relaxed style, the fact that everybody gets their own space (it's a great catch for families!) and the really great location with walking distance to the center.

Neighbourhood
Our house is located in Kolezija, a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. It is within walking distance to the historical center, yet far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The neighborhood also offers nice walks, by following the nearby canal you will find a cluster of cosy restaurants and bars, if you continue further you will reach the river Ljubljanica, where you can either go for a stroll along the river bank under the weeping willows or steer your course towards the city center.
Right next to the house there is also the newly renovated Kolezija outdoor pool, open during the summer season, offering a great opportunity for a morning swim or an evening dip on hot summer days. You can litterally walk over in your bathing suit and slippers.
