General overview
Our home is located in Sharon, MA, a suburb halfway between Boston and Providence, which are each about a half hour drive. Sharon was named the #1 place to live in the U.S. by Money Magazine in 2013 (#3 in 2015) and is a diverse community full of quiet, natural space with easy access to a number of popular attractions. The train station that will take you to either Boston or Providence is less than a mile away and Gillette Stadium (home of the New England Patriots, New England Revolution, and host to numerous sporting and entertainment events) is a ten minute drive. There is a beautiful lake (Lake Massapoag) for water activities and a resident-only beach (which you will have access to) a mile away. There are a number of hiking trails nearby (e.g. Moose Hill, Borderland State Park, Rattlesnake Hill) including Beaver Brook trail, which is accessible within a five minute walk. If you’re interested in visiting the Atlantic Ocean, the nearest beach is a 35 minute drive and you can get to our local favorite (Scusset Beach) in 50 and Cape Cod is an hour away.
The space
We live in a sunny, three-bedroom, expanded ranch on a quiet side street. Our half-acre includes lots of fenced-in space to run around, a swingset for the kids, an abundant backyard garden, and an area for relaxing, grilling, and roasting marshmallows. We prioritize health and installed a whole-house dehumidifier that brings fresh air into the house throughout the day and night. There is also a dance studio, Peloton bike, treadmill, rowing machine and other exercise equipment. A fireplace insert and air conditioning will keep you comfortable all year round. We love our home and look forward to sharing it!
