The space
Apartment on the top floor, with a terrace that brings us both the views, the sun and the fresh air. Three of us live there, with our 4-year-old child. 2 bedrooms (double and child), 1 office, 1 kitchen open to the living space (living room/dining room), 1 bathroom. Question beds, we sometimes welcomed other children in the children's room with a large inflatable mattress.
The 22m2 terrace overlooks the living room, the office, and the adult bedroom. You can see the Tibidabo, Collserola, the Putxet park opposite, and a stretch of sea on the other side! We spend a lot of time there in the summer. We installed canisses for privacy, a canvas pergola for the sun, lighting and furniture for summer evenings, and all our plants. We will also appreciate in summer a daily watering in the evening.
The apartment is very bright, and almost brand new. We did some work in 2019. The kitchen is new and well equipped, the bathroom is small but practical (the shower is 70x120, we put a child's bath in it), most of the cupboards are built-in, there are oak flooring in bedrooms and living room. The office has a very large table and a large window. What we don't have: television and microwave.
Guest access
People with reduced mobility: be careful, our street is on the side of the hill of Parc Guell, so the ground is sloping from Place Lesseps. There are escalators up to the street below, but the last stretch has to be done on foot, and it's steep. And then there are another 4 floors to climb on foot. Not recommended for really fragile constitutions.

Neighbourhood
The apartment is in Vallcarca in the district of Gracià. Easy to live there on foot, all amenities are close. The neighborhood is quiet, lively from time to time with the Saturday morning market, neighborhood parties, etc. The street is on the side of the hill of Park Guell, which is the green lung of the neighborhood 5 minutes from the house.
Also 5 minutes away on foot, the vila de Gracià is full of pedestrian squares, restaurants, bars, cultural life, concerts, etc. It is an epicenter of Barcelona nightlife.
Getting around
We live there on foot, and use very little public transport. Practical shops are either on avenue Vallcarca (2 mins) or at the Lesseps market (2 mins on the other side), green walks can be done at Parc Guell (5 mins uphill behind the house), restaurant outings /bars/cinema/squares, etc. are mainly done in Gracià (5mn downhill), active center of Barcelona evenings.
To move around Barcelona: Place Lesseps (3 mins walk), is an important center of means of transport, metro and bus. Otherwise nearby there is also the Vallcarca metro, the local bus, the night buses.
Plaça Catalunya (10 minutes by metro) serves all regional trains, especially to the beaches.
