General Overview

We love the peace and quiet and the closeness to nature – walking paths through the forest start right outside the door, and in the evening we only hear the birds or the crackling of the fire in the garden. Our home is a place to take a deep breath and slow down. At the same time, everything important is within easy reach: supermarkets, cafés, leisure activities and beautiful swimming lakes are only a few minutes away. We are especially happy about the animals in the area – horse farms are in the neighborhood, and even rides on Icelandic horses can be booked directly. For us, it is the perfect mix of rural idyll and good connections.

The Space

Over 200 years old, lovingly modernized farmhouse with more than 200 m² of living space, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens. The lower area is currently being renovated. However, the hallway with fireplace, the cosy parlour and the bathroom are already usable.

Notes

Everything important is close by: shopping, restaurants and leisure activities. Ideal for nature and horse lovers: We had a horse ourselves, and rides on Icelandic horses are possible at our neighbor's house. In addition, Heidepark, Serengeti Park, bird park, bathing lakes and numerous hiking trails.

Hello dear community, We are Mareike, Oliver and our son Nicholas (11) – this also includes our small, cuddly and absolutely house-trained dog, who is very quiet and gets along wonderfully with other animals. We are an open, warm and responsible family that lives very clean and tidy. We speak German, English and Spanish and have already had wonderful experiences with Couchsurfing and Airbnb – always with very positive references. ✨ From January 2026 to June 2026, we will go on sabbatical to discover the world a little more closely.
