General Overview
Welcome to our spacious and sunny apartment on the outskirt of Prague with a balcony and a great nature view. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor (3 of 4 floors), an elevator is available in the building.
The Space
The apartment is divided into a night part and a day part. On one side there is a living room connected to a large and fully equipped kitchen including my favorite coffee machine for my daily latte and for your favorite drink, too :) There is also a balcony attached with great nature/sunset view.
On the other side of the apartment there are two bedrooms:
1) Kid's room with a bunk bed for 3 children / adults (90x200cm).
2) Master bedroom with a king size bed, a work corner with an adjustable table and a comfortable work chair, also keyboards can be found here :)
Except already mentioned above there is one bathroom including a bathtub, a washing machine + a dryer, also one separate toilet as well.
Guest Access
There are no stairs in the apartment, everything is on one floor, elevator is just outside the apartment and by dry foot you can easily jump in or jump out from your or our car (in case if car exchange :) ).

In addition, private parking and a bicycle storage room is placed in the building - 2 bicycles for adults + a bike / a motorbike / a scooter for small kids (2-6 years old) including helmets are available :) Do not hesitate to take a trip to the nearby Obora (a nature reserve), Milicovsky les (forest) with mini Zoopark, to the swimming pool in Kolovraty in the summer or go wakeboarding to nearby MOLO WAKE Bar :)
In case of reciprocal exchange a car swap can be arranged upon discussion (Seat Alhambra including two child car seats, max 7 people in total).

This location is quiet and ideal for families with kids. There is also a children's playground in the inner block. Other playground can be found 5 minute walk right next to the bakery / mini café, small groceries are on the opposite side as well. About 10 minute walk there is a basketball court / a football field as well.

- AQUAPALACE Čestlice - the biggest aquapark in the Czech Republic / 30 minutes by public transport
- BREWERY Hostivar H2 + a restaurant with the garden and playground for kids
- PRUHONICKY PARK and CASTLE - UNESCO world heritage list
10 minutes by car / 15 minutes by public transport as well: Westfield Chodov - the biggest mall in the Czech Republic (including the biggest cinema)
In approx. 2 hours by car you can reach Český Krumlov (UNESCO) or Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary) well known by its film festival (over 1 hour by car) - already held in June 30th - July 8th, 2023.

Getting Around
To get to know the main sights of Prague you can take advantage of the great accessibility to the center by public transport.
The bus stop is only 5 minutes away and it takes about 7 minutes to the metro station Haje. In next 20 minutes you are in the city center - metro station Muzeum - right on the Wenceslas square. Here you can start your Prague adventure by visiting National Museum.
In addition a train station is about 10 minutes walk, can be also used to get to the city center or to nearby Amusement park Krtkuv svet, that is just one stop and it is perfect for kids and adults as well.

🏡 About the apartment It has everything you could possibly need – and more! The coffee maker combined with the little terrace made my morning coffees absolutely perfect. 🗾 About the location It offers a great balance. You can easily reach the city centre by public transport or taxi whenever you need to, but you're also surrounded by greenery. You can go for walks, pick plums, or ride a bike nearby – it's all right there. 🎳 What did we do besides all the cultural activities you can choose from? (Remember, I was with two boys, age 13!) Wakeboarding and SUP at the Molo Bar: Affordable, easy to reach by bike, and the staff were lovely. Aquapalace: We spent a full day there, but the boys wanted more! If I had planned better, I would have booked a night at the hotel – it gives you better access to the park and probably ends up cheaper. I also visited the sauna area and enjoyed all the rituals. Chodov Shopping Mall: Don’t ask me... the boys insisted! Make-your-own-perfume workshop at Organic Lab: They speak English and it was a fun experience. 👨🏻👩🏻👧🏻👦 About the hosts I’m an experienced exchanger by now… but I was truly surprised 😊 I had lots of WhatsApp exchanges with Katarina, and she helped more than I ever expected. They were incredibly generous! I won’t spoil everything – you should just exchange with this family! I haven’t met them in person yet, but I’d really love to one day. I can only thank them for a wonderful holiday. And if you ever exchange with Katarina and her family, you won’t regret it! -
We had an absolutely incredible time on our exchange in Prague! Katarina’s home was spotless, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches. Our son especially loved the keyboard and toy kitchen – he was completely in his element! The balcony view was lovely, and the playground just outside the door was a huge hit. The neighbourhood is very family-friendly, with a bus stop less than five minutes away and everything we needed nearby. Katarina even arranged a grocery delivery before we arrived and left us delicious pastries and traditional Kolonáda wafers – such a warm welcome. We also loved the coffee machine and appreciated all the goodies left for us. A real highlight of our trip was Pivovarská brewery – we went three times! It had a playground to keep our little one entertained too so was perfect for the whole family. Other favourites included the Prague Zoo, especially seeing polar bears for the very first time – an unforgettable experience. Thank you again, Katarina, for your warm hospitality and for looking after our home so well. We hope to exchange again in the future! -
We had a great time at Katarina's apartment in Prague. The apartment was clean, with a great view, a parking spot in the garage and a playground in front of the house. Katarina is a very friendly person, who communicated a lot with us. We are looking forward to her visit. -
We had such a wonderful stay at Katarina’s over Christmas-a magical time to visit Prague! The apartment had everything we needed and more. Toys for the kids, she even left us food and goodies. We found taking a bolt to the metro station was the easiest way to get into Prague with kids rather than the train. The neighborhood is lovely and had snow and icicles which delighted the kids. Glad we stayed outside the city because Prague itself had no snow! ! -
Katarina's apartment is beautifully situated on the outskirts of Prague. It is a new apartment in a residential building with an elevator. There is also an underground parking space, which we were able to use. It's super easy to get to Prague from here - and when you get home you don't have to look for a parking space. The apartment was very clean and cozy - and there was everything you need. The kitchen was well equipped, and Katarina gave us some food and drinks as a welcome gift. Super nice! We can highly recommend the apartment and Katarina as a home exchange partner! -

We spent 4 nights at Katarina's house, her house has everything you could need, if you visit with children your children will enjoy all the toys there. It is in a quiet place about 15 minutes by train from the center of Prague, there is a station about 10 minutes walk that takes you directly to the center and also several bus stops. Katerina is the best host, she was always willing to help us and give us advice. The day we arrived half an hour later an order of food and drinks arrived for us, we cannot be more grateful to her and her family. We hope to see them again sometime. -

Oh my goodness, I literally can't sing Katarina's praises enough.... she is a phenomenal host! She had come back to her apartment from Slovakia to check everything was in order, she had a cleaning lady in, she got loads of gluten free items in for Joe AND had some shopping delivered the night we arrived in case we had no food. Katarina kept in touch throughout our stay and checked in to see we had everything we needed. Just fabulous. We were also delighted age and Gabriel invested in an air con machine. Great after a long day of sightseeing. As for the apartment, we loved it! Spacious, bright, clean, comfortable, great location and had everything we needed. I think I need the same coffee machine now! We fell in love with the apartment, and with Prague. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend an exchange with Katarina and family or to Prague. Amazing city! -
Thanks to Katarina and her family for our very warm welcome to the outskirts of Prague! She was so sweet to make sure we had everything we needed, including ordering pastries for us for the first morning we were in her home. The apartment has everything you need, including washer and dryer so you can pack light. The children's beds are perfect for your little ones, might be a bit small for taller or bigger kids, but worked just fine for our two teens. This location is a 20 minute BOLT ride from the city center of Prague and a 15 minute walk to the nearest grocery store. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Katarina! -
Great apartment in a quiet area and still very easy to get into down-town prague. Apartment complex is very new (even smelled new) and the views are amazing! Especially enjoyed the stunning sunsets with the little lights of prague in the distance🥰. Lot of toys and great playground in front of the house 👍👍. Location is easy to reach with public transport (train). And little supermarket around the corner and Lidl just 10-15min walk. We spent almost 2weeks here and still have a lot in our wishlist. Haha. Katarina’s apartment was the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing in Prague! It had everything our family of 4 needed, and having an espresso on the balcony every morning while looking out at the view put us in vacation-mode. :-) The bus stop was a short 5-minute walk from the apartment, and the public transportation was so impressive - quick, efficient, and timely! Katarina was such a lovely host - she stocked the fridge and provided us with many goodies, which helped when we arrived at 1 in the morning! She was very communicative, had many recommendations for sights to visit, and overall so hospitable and friendly. I highly recommend Katarina’s place when visiting Prague! -
Katarina's communication was extraordinary, we had a great time in their place. We were welcomed with a great check dish, had everything in th eapt we neede, it was a ssuper exchange, thanks a lot Katarina and gamily:)! Public transport from the apt to the old town was excellent. -
We spent this year's Easter in Prague thanks to Katarina's kindness. It was a great family time because, apart from our younger son, our older son also went with his girlfriend. Katarina and Gabriel live in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We didn't use public transport because we were traveling by car, but there is a bus stop near the house. Katarina has prepared everything we need to have a great time. We were there for a week and could explore Prague without rushing. We got a lot of tips on what to see and eat. Katarina was always available, the contact was great. We highly recommend Katarina and Gabriel's house. Thank you for a wonderful Easter. We are waiting for their arrival to Warsaw. -
We had a lovely time at Katarina and Gabriel's apartment for a weekend swap. The apartment was nice and clean and well equipped for a family with children. In fact our kids didn't want to leave so we didn't get to see much of Prague in the end 😄 Katarina was very helpful and generous. Hopefully we get to meet again 😊 -
This is the second time we came to Katarina's home and all was just great! This time I came together with my friend for a ladies weekend get away and we couldn't have chosen better! Katarina and her family are great hosts! Even though we have decided very last minute to come, they prepared everything for us in such a thoughtful way :) Prague is a wonderful city to visit and explore. We spent a wonderful longer weekend in Prague at Katarina's place. The apartment is cozy and the atmosphere is so nice inside! We especially loved the terrace with the beautiful view, where we got to relax while the kids discovered and played with all the great toys they found there. We liked that the apartment is child friendly and we found there everything we needed. Katarina and her family left a lot of delicious food and drinks for us and great snacks and even souvenirs! They are very friendly and great, the communication was very easy and we got great tips about what to do and see around. The kids also appreciated the playground that is just in front of the building and they played a lot there too. We visited the center of Prague, a museum, a nice indoor playground, and a really nice restaurant by the lake. We got great recommendations and we loved every minute! The best part of all this trip was that in the end we got to meet Katarina and her family and we spent a bit of time together. It felt like meeting (old) friends! We would highly recommend an exchange with Katarina and her family!

We are a slovak-hungarian family with two kids (4 and 8 years old) living in Prague, Czech Republic. We love traveling, visiting new places, tasting traditional foods and meeting new people, of course.
My husband, Gabriel (40), works in the IT industry and he likes biking or playing basketball.
Karin (8) likes drawing, painting, playing the piano, lego, reading books and learning new things as well. :) She is visiting third year of elementary school.
Laura (4) is a smiling girl with interest of everything, she loves drawing as well, playing with puzzles, lego or other building kits :)
And finally me, Katarina (38), getting back to work soon (working in the financial sector in the past) - I like cooking, baking and since I have been registered to this home exchange platform I love traveling the most :)
