General overview
This is a family house that we renovated recently and divided into two flats, a very modern one where we live and a separate flat that we use for parties and for guests. We are listing the guest flat on the ground floor. The house has a large garden and is located on a hill surrounded by vineyards and has a beautiful view of a castle and woods.
We are located very close to the famous Wachau region near the beautiful city of Krems.
The space
The guest flat consists of a bedroom with a double bed, a large room with dining and sitting areas, a kitchen, a toilet, and a shower/laundry room. There is a a sofa that can be extended to a large and comfortable single bed or day bed. The flat has direct access to the underground cellar where there is a barrel sauna and a small gym. This flat has its own private entrance and direct access to the terrace and garden. It is possible to close the door that connects the two flats on the first and ground floors for total privacy.
The flat has a traditional feel as, although we renovated it completely, we chose to leave many elements of the original house combined with modern features. The appliances are new and so is the bed. As we have a solar energy plant installed on the roof of one of the garden huts, we installed a unit of AC that can be used to heat the flat in winter. Our garden has many trees, and many flower beds. We have a small pool to cool down during the hot summer days.

Notes
There are two fish ponds in the garden and a slope connecting two levels of the garden that make the property unsuitable to small children.

Neighbourhood
We are just 5 km from the city of Krems and the Danube. This is a wine region with many interesting towns and villages to visit. Vienna is less than 1 hour away by car (approx 80 km).
This is an excellent area for hiking most of the year. In Summer there is a diversity of options for swimming (in lakes, rivers, and public pools).
There are ski resorts less than 2 hours away.

Getting to my home
From Vienna International Airport there is a train via St Polten. It is also possible to travel here by train as there international connections with neighbor countries.

Getting around
Krems is a city that offers many shopping and dining options. A bit closer we have a supermarket and a few seasonal family businesses where you can taste their wine and homemade snacks. It is worth renting a car to explore the area although it is also possible to use public transport as the city bus endstation is near the house. From Krems, it is possible to do day cruises on the Danube and visit the Wachau (April-October).
There are many cycling paths nearby, including the international path along the Danube .
