General Overview

We have a two bedroom cottage. It is a converted former Victorian workshop, which was used in the early 1900s by workers on the Snape House estate. The cottage is in a rural setting and opens in to a small meadow. It is dog friendly and there is masses of lovely walking (via footpaths) from the door. Wadhurst was named The Best Place to Live in the UK by the Sunday times in 2023. The village is a 10 minute drive (or 45 minute walk across fields and through woods!) away. It has lots of handy amenities, as does the gorgeous historic village of Mayfield (also 10 mins away). Our closest train station is Wadhurst, which gets you to London in around an hour. In the other direction - the coast is also around an hour away!

The Space

A large open plan and double height kitchen/dining/sitting room, with lots of light, log burning stove and smart television. Two bedrooms (one on ground floor), one bathroom. The bedrooms can be arranged as two doubles, or one double with one twin room. We also have an EV charger on site for charging electric cars.

Two floors albeit one bedroom is on the ground floor, as is the bathroom.
