Neighbourhood

We live in a quiet residential area just outside the center of Paris. Malakoff benefits a nice village atmosphere and hosts a colorful market 3 times a week. The local baker's and grocer's are 300m away. French version: Malakoff, on the southern edge of Paris, is a calm and friendly town, a real contrast so close to Paris! In Malakoff, the colorful market is held 3 times a week. The nearest grocer and baker are 300m away.

Getting around

We live next to the southern limit of Paris near a Métro station which brings you in 20 minutes to Champs Elysées. If you like cycling, you can ride along the "Coulée verte", a green path just down our street which leads to nice spots outside Paris (e.g. Parc de Sceaux). English: We live near a metro station (line 13) which takes you to the center of the capital in just 15 minutes. To go and relax in the green, just hop on the bike and set off along the green belt, which also passes very close to our house. It takes you to the magnificent Parc de Sceaux, among others. Our bikes are of course at your disposal.

Odile

We are a couple with 2 teenagers: Sabine (20 years old) and Pierre (17 years old, not in the photo... typical!), so we are linked to the French school holidays. Luc is now retired and I work from home as a freelance translator. We also have a very nice cat, Misty, who stays at home when we travel. She is independent and just needs to be fed while you are here. We are seasoned exchangers in Europe and our next trip will be Western Canada in 2023 with 3 PLU exchanges planned! We are enthusiastic about this way of traveling because it is based on trust, which is what we appreciate the most! We are eager to discover new countries and cultures, so surprise us!
