Neighbourhood

The cottage is in an area of other vacation homes by the beach. It is in a rural area with loads of beautiful nature around. The beach is a 5 minute walk, and so is the woods. The nearest bigger town is a 10 minute drive. It offers a large variety of supermarkets, clothes shops, toy stores, vintage shops, restaurants, playgrounds etc. It also offers a pretty nice indoor swimming pool with slide, hot water pool, sauna etc. If you want to go on fun days out, there are loads of activities about half an hour away, including: - Knuthenborg - one of Denmarks biggest Safari Parks, that also has a huge playground and theme park rides. - Lalandia, which is a big indoor water park, that is open all year round. - Museums, both art and history - The ferry to take you on a daytrip to Germany - Nature reserves, island hopping opportunities and so much more Perfect destinations for day trips reachable in less than 2 hours are: - Copenhagen (Capital of Denmark) - Moens Klint - Camp Adventure and the Forrest Tower - Faxe Limestone quarry - The cliffs of Stevns (UNESCO World Heritage Site) - Roskilde Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage Site) - Viking fortresses Trelleborg in Slagelse and Borgring in Koege (BOth UNESCO). .....and so much more:)

Nearest airport

The nearest airport is Copenhagen, which is less than 2 hours away.

Getting Around

The nearest town, with a main trainstation and a large variety of supermarkets and shops is 12 kilometers away. There is a smaller supermarket about 5 kilometers from the cottage. The easiest way to get around is by car. But we do have bicycles at the cottage, which you are free to use to get around locally when you are there, if you prefer.
