General overview

My quaint stone built cottage has 3 bedrooms and is right in the heart of Parbold village. It's a picture perfect postcard home located right in the heart of Parbold village and is undoubtably one of the prettiest cottages in the area. On the inside its beautiful period features are visible and it offers an impressive amount of living space too.(1254 SQ.FT.) The idyllic location is perfect for daytime activities as well as fun nights out. By day the beautiful Liverpool to Leeds canal, is just 30 seconds walk away offering flat scenic walks or for more challenging hikes Parbold hill and Ashurst beacon are both right on the doorstep. For the evening there No Less than 3 local and traditional pubs are also less than a minutes walk away. (Wayfarers Inn, The Windmill Pub, & the Stocks Tavern) All offer really good food and drink. There is also a brand new wine bar called Margot's another 3 minutes walk down the road that offers a decent selection of wines, sharing boards and some great Napoli style pizza. As a restaurant and bar owner myself please be sure to ask for recommendations. Perfect for families with canal walks on your doorstep & there's a host of local shops inc butcher, bakery, fish & chip shop, Indian takeaway & 2 mini supermarkets & quite frankly the best coffee shop and breakfast place I have ever come across is just right next to the canal entrance. Transport links are close via the M6 motorway (5 mins) and Parbold has it's own train station with direct and easy travel to Manchester city, Southport and easy connections to Liverpool city too A delightful character accommodation, my cottage and Parbold village brims with both charm and personality, which will become abundantly clear as soon as you arrive and mix with the locals.

Hi, we’re 1st time home exchangers. We live in a quaint 3 bedroom cottage in Parbold, Lancashire in England. It’s just me & my 16 year old son. We both love the outdoors and we live between our main Lancashire home and also during the British summer we will frequently visit our holiday caravan/trailer on the Llyn peninsula in Wales. We spend most of our free time doing all things outdoors and love to bike, hike, paddle, ski, camp and if it’s raining going to the gym. We love to travel & we are fortunate enough to be able to plan last min trips due to running our own businesses. We love a good beach, mountain or river to hang out by. We like good food and drink & personally I am very passionate about wine and vineyards
