General Overview

Spacious 5-berth LMC caravan • Two-level private terrace • Sea glimpse • Walk to the beach Welcome to our much-loved second home on the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales, close to the seaside village of Abersoch. Our spacious LMC Exquisit VIP 695 is permanently sited at Gwel y Môr, a friendly, relaxed family caravan park surrounded by greenery and within walking distance of the coast. This isn’t a touring caravan that we tow from place to place. It stays permanently on its own established pitch with a large private two-level wooden terrace, making it feel like our little home by the sea. The caravan sleeps five, with a fixed double bed, a second double made up from the living area and a single bed. Inside there’s a comfortable lounge and dining area, kitchen, shower and toilet, plus Starlink Wi-Fi and internet TV. Outdoor living – “Ibiza Terrace” We’ve affectionately named our outdoor space “Ibiza Terrace” – we’re definitely still in Wales! It’s our little Mediterranean-inspired place to eat, relax and enjoy the summer. The lower deck has comfortable outdoor sofas and loungers, while the upper level has additional seating and a six-person dining table. Both levels have large sun parasols, and through the trees from the upper terrace you can catch a glimpse of the sea. For cooler evenings there’s a choice of a traditional wood-burning fire pit or gas fire pit. We love coming back from the beach, cooking outside and spending the evening around the fire. Beach days & outdoor cooking Guests are welcome to use our collection of beach equipment, including a 3-person inflatable canoe, paddleboard, foam surfboard, two bodyboards, Tommy Bahama beach chairs and beach parasol, plus a cooler bag and ice packs. For outdoor cooking there’s a charcoal BBQ, Ooni pizza oven, electric air fryer and griddle – perfect for relaxed meals on the terrace. The location Gwel y Môr is a relaxed park particularly suited to families and couples, with a children’s play area and useful facilities including showers, toilets and a laundrette. We’re approximately one mile from Abersoch, with the sandy beach below The Warren around a 10-minute walk away. For guests visiting from overseas, the Llŷn Peninsula is a beautiful part of the north-west coast of Wales, known for beaches, sheltered bays, sailing and watersports, coastal walks and beautiful countryside. Abersoch is a lively seaside village with restaurants, cafés, pubs and independent shops, while the surrounding peninsula has plenty of quieter beaches and coastline to discover. A little about caravan life As this is our genuine sited second home rather than a conventional house or apartment, there are a few practical aspects of caravan life guests need to be comfortable with. The chemical toilet needs emptying when required, bins need taking out and, if poor or windy weather is expected, outdoor furniture and equipment may need bringing in or securely covering. There may be a few other straightforward caravan jobs during a longer stay. We’ll leave clear instructions for everything, and no previous caravan experience is necessary. What we love about it For us, this place is all about living outdoors: morning coffee on the terrace, walking to the beach, taking the paddleboard or canoe out, coming home for a BBQ or homemade pizza and finishing the evening around the fire pit. It’s not a conventional house, and that’s part of its charm. It’s our relaxed little home by the Welsh coast, with lots of private outdoor space and everything you need to make the most of the beach. If you enjoy beaches, watersports, outdoor cooking and relaxed family time, we hope you’ll love it as much as we do.

Hi! I’m based in the beautiful village of Halsall, near the market town of Ormskirk in West Lancashire. We’re surrounded by canals, fields, and footpaths, so spending time outdoors is a big part of our lives. At home, I live with my girlfriend and her two young children, aged 5 and 9. My eldest son is now a young adult and sometimes still stays with us. Because of that, my travel companions vary – sometimes I travel on my own, sometimes with my girlfriend, sometimes with the children, and annually without fail I take a trip with just me & my son. We’re an active family who love being outdoors. Skiing is one of our favourite holidays, and we’re happiest in the mountains or by the beach. We’re generally not big city people, although we’re always open to somewhere different – after all, a change is as good as a rest! We enjoy discovering new places, experiencing local culture, and making the most of family time together. Whether we’re looking for an adventure in nature or a relaxing coastal escape, we always treat the homes we stay in with great care and respect, just as we would hope others would treat ours. We look forward to meeting fellow PLU members and creating wonderful exchange experiences.
