General overview

My home is a two-story 2300 square foot home with three available bedrooms and a pool. It's located close to downtown Naples and the beach. It's one mile to the shops/restaurants on 5th Ave S and exactly two miles to the beach. It is fine for older kids but the spiral staircase and lack of "kid proofing" make it a very unsafe place for small kids and toddlers. We are located directly behind a gourmet grocery store so it's very convenient to run over for deli sandwiches or groceries. However, it is noisy in the back bedrooms in the mornings when they receive deliveries. Unfortunately, I cannot do exchanges from October through April as that's our busy season so I need to stay home and work so I can travel in the summer! The exception might be a short trip to Los Angeles with enough notice. My son lives out there so any chance I can see him, I want to!

The space

The master bedroom with an on-suite bathroom and private entrance is a large room and set away from the other bedrooms so it's really private. The two other available bedrooms are upstairs with a shared bathroom. The backyard is fabulous at night! In the summer, it's so nice to swim and relax with the pretty lights around the pool cage. You can also eat meals outside or just relax. The dining room has a nice table that seats eight so it's good for meals, games and socializing.

Guest access

The spiral staircase to the upstairs might be a challenge for some people. The master bedroom is on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the bathroom is not really handicap accessible. It's too small for a wheelchair.

Notes

The grocery store behind the house morphed into a huge store that is now very close to the house. Their dumpsters are emptied at 5:30 a.m. every morning so it's loud.

Neighbourhood

I live in a family neighborhood, directly behind a gourmet grocery store. There is a breakfast/lunch restaurant within one block. We are about one mile from the famous 5th Ave S, with shopping and restaurants. It is close to pretty much everything - Collier County Museum is about 1.5 miles away, the beach is 2 miles. There are many, many, many restaurants nearby. Walking trails in nature are available 1-2 miles away. The Everglades are less than 30 minutes away. All that being said, you really need a car here. It's way too hot to walk most places, even if they are fairly close.

Getting around

A car is recommended. We do have Uber and Lyft readily available. Public transportation here in Naples is not that great.
