General Overview

Elevated position with wonderful evening views of the sunset. A 2 bedroom home (2 bedrooms upstairs)) with good off street parking in an established neighbourhood. This home is close to Tahunanui Beach by walking or 2 minutes by car. The Great Taste biking route is at the end of the street. Also near to all services in each direction. The beach, cafes, town and restaurants and bus. Nelson is a gateway to the top of the South Island. This town has the most sunshine per annum of all the towns/cities in New Zealand. Nelson has a very long coastline including to Golden Bay and the tip of the Island at Farewell Spit, close proximity to the Abel Tasman Coastline Walk, starting at Marahau and Kaiteriteri surrounded by three National Parks and the Nelson Lakes at St Arnaud and tramps/hikes and biking/cycling in the local hills to 700m. There are some very have to do multiple day hikes and cycling at our iconic Heaphy Track, Old Ghost Road and Paparoa trail all finish on the rugged and beautiful west coast of the South Island. Nelson is a family friendly destination with safe beaches. The beaches are quite shallow at the beach edge and slowly deepening. There are paddle boards for hire at the beach. Nelson also has a good reputation for local independant beers with a brewery trail and locally produced wine and fields of hops and vines. A favourite thing to do is Nelson to Rabbit Island about 20k flat along a trail close to the water then a small ferry across to the village of Mapua with fabulous dining and cafe choices. A local business will help with bikes and/or transport to return if needed

The Space

Drive onto the parking area and walk to the house along a gentle sloped concrete path to the front door. Which opens out to 2 bedrooms (king and a double). Walk through the living area to an outside deck. It is lovely and restful area with a lot of green space

Neighbourhood

Walking around the neighbourhood with great sea views and viewing platforms not too far away. 15 minutes to walk to the beach. lots of local cafes and a classic car museum close by that you can walk to with a restaurant. The local gym also in walking distance. The beach is very accessible with transport and bus service as it is just one street away.

Getting to my home

The airport is under 10 minutes away by car. The street/house is easy to find just off the main road

Getting Around

If walking it takes 10 to 15 minutes to beach, cafes, restaurants, bus stop (2 mins)
