Neighbourhood
Lots of local shops, restaurants, coffee shops, cinema and plenty of wonderful parks. Very close to city either by foot or on the luas (tram).
Getting to my home
Dublin airport is the best access point by air.
Ferry to either Dublin port or Rosslare (which is a two hour drive away).
By car or public transport of course from anywhere in Ireland is pretty simple!
Nearest airport
Dublin airport.
Getting Around
5 minute walk to luas (tram) which brings you to city centre in 10-15 minutes. Equally about a 20-30 minute walk to city centre. Plenty of local buses and taxis also if desired.
Great location from which to explore our city and also the surrounding countryside.
Easy day trips include County wicklow (otherwise known as the garden of Ireland), County Galway, Powerscourt House and waterfall, the Boyne Valley, County Wexford and it’s beautiful coast line, Belfast and County Antrim and many more.
What a lovely home! We were made to feel
so welcome and were thrilled by the thoughtful welcome gifts and supplies they left for us. All the communication prior to the exchange was excellent and we really appreciated all the tips to help us enjoy Dublin. The big hit was the Irish music playlist they created and shared to get us in the Irish spirit.
The home beautiful and is in a stunning neighborhood with a short walk to a tram that quickly gets you into the city center to see all the sites Dublin has to offer.
We loved our time in Dublin and look forward to welcoming this lovely family to our cabin in South Lake Tahoe.
Ciara and family’s home was the perfect end to our month long trip. There were yummy treats and a card waiting for us when we arrived and the house was absolutely spotless. The kids were super excited to be staying in a house with kids of its own. So many toys to be played with and a fun yard to burn energy in!
Communication before, during and after was seamless and felt like talking to an old friend.
The location is incredible. So much to see and do within a few minutes walk of the house and so close to the centre of the city. We chose to take the tram into the city, with tired kids it was the perfect way to see more without having to walk the entire way.
This was a perfect end to an incredible trip. We truly hope to meet in person one day. Possibly this summer!
Staying in Ciara's family home was better than imagined. Close enough to city center but quietly in the nearest suburbs. Their location is perfect for using public transport and we were able to utilize Leap cards to get to all parts of Dublin and surrounding county for over a week. There's plenty of eating/shopping within a 15 minute walk. Taking care of their dog, Everest, was fairly easy as well and a welcome bit of extra.
Communication all throughout was stellar. We highly recommend Ciara as hostess and this home as 5 star exchange for PLU families.
Ciara’s home could not have been more perfect! Comfortable, spacious and absolutely beautiful - it was a wonderful space to relax in during our stay in Dublin, and in the perfect location too, in a lovely quiet neighbourhood close to pubs, shops, and transport links. Communication was easy throughout. Thank you for your kind welcome, Ciara!
What a lovely family and what a cozy and at the same time huge house. We enjoyed every minute of our six day globe stay in Dublin. It was wonderful to meet sweet Ciara, Everest and the three beautiful daughters when we arrived. We especially loved the sunny terrace, the atrium and the nice kitchen where we spent a lot of time enjoying a beer or a glass of wine. We did two day trips with Getyourguide, saw the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Galway, Dunluce castle, the Dark Hedges, Giant‘s Causeway and Belfast. You absolutely have to hike in Howth!!! It was a wonderful vacation after one year where we couldn’t travel due to health issues and my mother‘s death. It is fantastic to back again. Thank you 🙏
Where to start! Oh my goodness what a brilliant exchange! Ciara's home takes your breath away when you open that beautiful door and see how big it is!! I almost fell over (and that's before a Guinness!). So much space. so beautifully decorated and full of family love.
Myself and my boys loved every moment in Dublin and this fabulous home. We've been chatting for so long now, we've become friends, we've actually had a lot of laughs planning this non-sim exchange.
I'm so thankful for all the help and advice received as it enabled us to make the most of our time in Dublin. We left so full and so exhausted we needed a day to not eat and recover ha ha! Thank you for the fab welcome gifts, so kind.
Much needed family time spent in a wonderful home and city. Once in a while and exchange happens that blows you away - this was one of them.
Until August - we will see you in Sorrento then.
THANK YOU. Vanessa & the boys.
Thank you so much to Ciara and family for letting us stay in their home in Dublin, we have enjoyed ourselves very much!
The home is not only beautiful but very comfortable, with anything you may need during your stay, and also perfectly located to visit the city.
We have been in daily contact during our stay. Ciara has always kept an eye on us to provide support, advice, which has been great!
We highly recommend the destination, the home and of course this family if you want to enjoy an exchange.
Thanks once again Ciara and family for everything. You are welcome to enjoy the south of Spain.
Lots of love!!
What a beautiful exchange !
We had a great time in the superb house of Ciara and her family: the welcome was simply perfect and we found more than we needed when we arrived.
The house guide was really complete with ideas for visits, a selection of restaurants and good addresses in the neighborhood or in the center of Dublin, easy to access by tram (which made our teenagers happy) or by bus, only 5 minutes walk from the house.
We enjoyed the very green and quiet neighborhood, where we even had the opportunity to celebrate Halloween - an incredible evening with superbly decorated houses and all the children outside for a memorable Trick or Treats!
The city of Dublin is very pleasant and it's a chance to be hosted by Ciara to discover it : our exchanges were very easy and pleasant throughout the stay and we really had the impression of being welcomed as friends without knowing each other before that...
We would be delighted to meet them, and also to welcome them to our home next time : thank you again to all 5 of you for these great holidays !
Go raibh maith agat!
Ciara’s home is spacious and close to the city. Great backyard and playroom for our kids.
An absolutely beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood with a beautiful host! LOL this exchange was really perfect in so many ways. We were lucky to meet Ciara at her home for coffee before they left on their trip. She is so delightful - fun and friendly and she makes us wish we lived in Ireland! Their home is large and spacious and perfectly set up if you have have kids who love to play games and read and jump on a trampoline. Ours do and they loved it there. They are just a 15 min tram ride to the center of Dublin and the tram is a quick 5 min walk from their home. We didn’t rent a car while we were there. There are cool shops (and if you’re vegan an amazing healthy treats shop a 4 min walk) and groceries all walking distance.
It was a perfect stay to enjoy the city but also get out of the city for a peaceful stay. A perfect blend of close city life and urban life all together.
We highly recommend Ciara and her home as your stay in Dublin. Thank you Ciara for your most warm welcome, you’re a true PLU!
Ciara and her families home in Dublin is fantastic. In a very green and spacious neighborhood (we even saw two foxes in the street!) and close to public transportation to Dublin center, or you can walk which takes about 30 - 40 mins (nice walk). The home is very comfortable, light and well equipped.
What made our stay extra special though is the wonderful hospitality from Ciara and her family. We were so fortunate to have a chance to meet in person! Such a kind, welcoming and warm family. We were even met with home made cookies and nice local specialties. Communication was very easy and clear and we also received many tips and ideas on things to do around Dublin. Highly recommended to exchange with them!
It was also wonderful to receive Ciara and her family in Norway. Don't hesitate to exchange with this lovely family!
We experienced our first exchange thanks to ciara and her family:)
it was a great weekend!
the house is beautiful, very well decorated and in a very nice area close to transport.
the welcome was perfect with small gifts.
they adapted to our flight dates
What happiness!!!
we can't wait to meet them in France :)
thanks again to all the family :)
We had a great stay at Ciara’s home. The communication was really easy and really nice, and Ciara had everything set up for our arrival. The house is situated in a very nice area of Dublin, and it’s very easy to come and go with public transports to the city center and to the coast. The house itself is wonderful: quite big, very comfy, with everything you need to entertain kids. Our five years old was very happy of her stay there. I would definitely recommend you to stay at Ciara’s place, and to discuss with her and her family as they are really enjoyable persons. In short, we could not wish for a nicer exchange to visit Dublin! Thank you again, Ciara!
What more can we say than PERFECT! We loved every minute of our exchange with Ciara and her family. As the first part of a non-simultaneous exchange, we were welcomed as friends in this beautiful and warm house, perfectly located not far from the city center in a beautiful area of Dublin.
Communicating with Ciara before and during our stay was easy, friendly and fun. We felt at home from the first moment. The house is very spacious, very clean and tidy and the dinner on arrival (yum yum homemade bread!) and our little glass of Paddy (I found out I love Irish whiskey!) was the icing on an already perfect cake :-)
The information about the tours, walks, restaurants and pubs was invaluable even if we didn't have time to try everything!
A word of advice: talk to this adorable family! True PLU spirit!
We had a wonderful time, we feel like we have "friends" now in Dublin. I'm waiting for you guys! Normandy is waiting for you!
I am very happy that we were in Ciara's house. All communication went without a problem. Ciara was very helpful in preparing a surprise for my husband. We celebrated his birthday in Dublin. Ciara's house was ideal for our short visit, and Ciara gave us great ideas so that we could prepare a great surprise. And she herself prepared a gift for Blaž. Thank you.
Her house is clean, spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. There is a tram to the center and a small shop just a few blocks away. Our short trip was great and we would love to come back to Ciara again. Next time, I hope to meet in person. Ciara and her family are always welcome to visit us in Slovenia.
Ciara & her family were the first PLU guests to stay in our home and they were wonderful! We had excellent communication up to their stay, she assured me not to stress too much, I could tell she is a very kind person.
Their family left our home in perfect condition while taking care of our animals, enjoying the pool and exploring the area. The girls even made each of our children personalized beaded bracelets which I thought was a sweet personal touch.
Thank you for staying with us and treating our home like your own! I hope we can meet someday ☺️
Ciara and her family were excellent guests in my home. I could barely tell they stayed! We had great communication for the several months before the exchange, during the exchange, and even now we are still chatting! They left us some lovely gifts and a Thank You card which of course will stay on our fridge forever!
We are very much looking forward to visiting Dublin, hopefully next summer. And hopefully we can meet in person!
Ciara offered me a globe to stay at our place just over 2 years ago, I believe, when one of our exchanges fell through, to help me find a new exchange in record time. Since then, the communication with her, both before their stay and during their entire visit, has been smooth and pleasant. We are very happy to have hosted them, allowing them to reconnect with part of their family living abroad, who happened to be in Montreal at the same time as them. Ciara and her family seem to have thoroughly enjoyed Montreal, especially the Canadian Open, which started during their stay. Ciara and her family took care of our home as if it were their own."
Ciara and her family just completed a visit to our cottage/home as a first stop in Canada. Ciara had always been so outgoing and friendly during all of our chats that I knew her family would enjoy our area and home and felt comfortable exchanging. She was always in touch with any little changes and we had updates while they stayed in our home. I wish we had the chance to meet as I know we would have been friends haha.
Ciara ensured our home was cleaned and returned to us like they were never there. Even though we didn’t get to meet we loved having the pictures of their family out on the water enjoying what northern Ontario cottage country is known for - makes me want to share it with everyone!
Thanks Ciara and family for “including” us (our cottage) as part of your Canadian vacation!! Hope to see you in Dublin one day!
Bob and Sue
What a joy it was to host this wonderful family! From the very first message, everything was smooth, friendly, and full of good vibes. And once they arrived—wow. They were the perfect guests.
When we returned home, the place was sparkling—cleaner than we left it! Everything was tidy, spotless, and somehow even more welcoming than usual, we were so happy to have a little time to have a coffee and chat together before they left, not enough time for sure, we have to meet again!
we also discovered the most heartwarming surprise: lovely little notes left all around the house by Kate, Lucy and Zoé. Each one brought a smile to our faces—such a thoughtful, personal touch that we absolutely adored. And lovely presents that brings a lovely Irish touch in our home. We will cherish them.
In short: this family is warm, funny, considerate, and an absolute delight. A real gem of an exchange. We’d welcome them back anytime, anywhere, without a second thought 💛
Hope to meet you again asap guys!
Ciara and her lovely family were amazing guests. Her family left the place spotless. She has been great to communicate with also. I couldn't recommend Ciara and her family highly enough!
Ciara and family were the perfect guests in our home. The communication was easy and clear from the very beginning. Easy-going, self sustained, and so nice to have contact with.
I’ll let you know when we have a possibility to come to Dublin then I would definitely love to see you. Take care and always welcome back to Stockholm or to the south east of Sweden, our island home! Thanks again for taking such good care of our home.
It was lovely having Ciara and famil in our home! Both our girls left lovely notes to each other and I love the Irish kitchen little bowls that they left for me. We came back to our house as if no one used it. We’d definitely welcome them back again:)
Ciara and her lovely family were the perfect home exchange partners. We visited their fabulous home in Dublin at Easter so it was really exciting to welcome them to Sorrento this summer.
Our home was cared for to the highest standards and our cats were just adored by the girls. Ciara was so kind as to help me prepare for an exchange coming in after they left which was highly appreciated. Our home was left spotlessly clean and our plants watered and taken care of.
Our communication has been seamless and so much fun, I'm really appreciative of the friendship we've built. I would welcome Ciara and her family back absolutely anytime and if you ever have the change to exchange with them just do it - your home is in the best possible hands.
Thank you so much and I hope we can do this again! Vanessa and the boys & Hendo & Night! BACI xxxx
Ciara was very kind to help me navigate my way through my first exchange.
She was a lovely guest to have in my home and her family left the house in perfect order.
Great family, left the place spotless. All will be well if you exchange with them.
Ciara and her family were great guests and we would love to welcome them back at any time in our home in Kongsberg.
Thank you for this wonderful exchange!
Ciara and her family were A plus guests! Great communication and respectful in our Cape Cod home. Thank you for making our first exchange a wonderful experience!
Ciara is so lovely! She and her family were wonderful. We’re so happy we got to meet and host them, and we hope to see them again when we make it back to Ireland in the future.
Ciara and her family were very respectful of our home and took great care of our cats when we were away, while giving regular news. The communication with Ciara was very easy and pleasing. We were very happy to come home to our place and find some little welcome gifts and drawings for our little girl. I would definitely recommend you to host Ciara and her family!
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome this lovely family to our home. Debbie, Tim, Jake and Sienna were the most lovely and respectful guests. Communication was great throughout. We came home to a sparkling clean home and some very thoughtful gifts from the USA. We are delighted they enjoyed their stay in Dublin for the historic, first NFL game to take place here. We would be delighted to welcome them back anytime and are really looking forward to visiting their beautiful home in Lake Tahoe in the future. Thanks again folks x
Thanks Tamsen and Greg for a lovely few days on a globe exchange. We were honoured to be the first exchange guests in your family home. They have a large family house with lovely garden and pool. It was a great base for exploring the Niagara area - although a car would be essential if visiting. We enjoyed day trips to Niagara falls, shopping at the outlets, and visiting the beautiful town of Niagara on the Lake and its vineyards. Our girls enjoyed feeding the chickens, collecting fresh eggs each day and feeding the very shy cat. Tamsen was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. Thanks again folks!
Jill’s home was literally the perfect base for our family in Toronto. The house is absolutely stunning, much larger than we expected, very comfortable, super stylish and in the beautiful high-end beaches neighbourhood in Toronto, only a short walk from the gorgeous beach and wonderful shops and restaurants. We couldn’t have asked for more. We were absolutely delighted with our stay here. Add to this the absolutely incredible welcome we received, it was like arriving to visit family…though in reality they probably wouldn’t spoilt us as much!! Jill is as true a PLU as you will find. Days spent exploring Toronto were fab, but equally we loved returning to this beautiful home in the evenings to unwind with a game of cards and a drink in the gorgeous garden or on the porch. Jill’s communication and recommendations have been amazing, not only for Toronto but also for other places to visit on our road trip around Eastern Canada. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to meet, but hopefully our paths will cross in the future when you make your trip to Ireland. Thanks again Jill and family for this wonderful, memorable exchange, we look forward to welcoming you all to Dublin xx
Thank you Celine and family for a gorgeous welcome to Montreal. We absolutely loved our stay in this large, modern and comfy home. It was a perfect base for our family to explore the sites of Montreal & then to return in the evenings to the lovely aircon, huge playroom for the kids and beautiful pool. The location was great - a very safe neighborhood, lots of nice shops locally and an easy drive or metro to the city. Communication with Celine was great throughout. We really enjoyed exploring the old town, visiting the Mont Royal park, St Joseph’s Oratory, watching fireworks at the port and most notably going to the Canadian Tennis Open, which was a total highlight for my girls getting photos and autographs with some of the top global players! Thanks again Celine x
Thank you Ciara. It was a pleasure having you stay at our house! We are glad you got to do so many diverse things with your family while staying here :)))
We couldn’t have dreamed of a better start to our Canadian adventure. Sue and Bob’s home was an absolutely wonderful place to begin our trip - a true Canadian cottage experience. We loved every minute of this exchange and didn’t want to leave! Communication with sue has been great both before and during the stay and we were welcomed so warmly with gorgeous treats for us and the girls. And the icing on the cake was the home comforts, the tasteful decoration and above all the stunning view….add to this the dock, the endless fun on the water with sue and bob generously sharing their canoes, kayaks, paddle board, inflatable toys and garden games…we were truly spoilt. Local eateries recommended by them were also absolutely wonderful, as was a trip to Algonquin National Park. But honestly our best memories were simply hanging out on the dock admiring the view, playing cornhole, roasting marshmallows at the firepit and endless paddling on the lake. Our only regret was not getting to meet in person. If you get the chance to exchange with this wonderful couple don’t think twice! Thanks so much Sue and Bob xx
Hard to put into words how wonderful this exchange was…Corinne and Jef are the epitome of PLU…their house is stunning - tastefully decorated, super comfortable, full of personality and with the most wonderful garden…our breath was taken away on arrival. But the creme de la creme is their hospitality… the warmest of warm welcomes awaited us on arrival…the Irish flag was raised, a delicious homemade flan and wonderful breakfast for the next day and add to this lots of fun presents, little notes, treats and activities for the girls - spoilt rotten! The home is just so peaceful and beautiful and we really enjoyed their jacuzzi, playing badminton on the lawn and roasting marshmallows on the fire pit. It is also a great base to explore Normandy and our day trips included visits to the Dday beaches, Bayeux, Caen, Deauville and Mont Saint Michel as well as some pretty local towns all of which we loved. The icing on the cake was being able to meet them both and have a coffee together before we departed, which was wonderful. We could have stayed talking all day! We would absolutely whole heartedly recommend an exchange with this wonderful couple and we hope our paths will cross again at some stage in the future. They are always welcome in Ireland anytime with pleasure. Thank you friends xx
Kaitlin, John, Nora, Ezra & Anna were a total pleasure to host. Despite being fairly new to PLU they are like pros already - a lovely, friendly, kind and generous family. Communication was fabulous before arrival and throughout their stay and we feel like we have new friends in Canada. We returned to an immaculate home, a tasty gift from Canada and some delicious homemade sourdough bread. We would welcome them back anytime and hope that our paths might cross when we are both on road trips in Canada this summer. Thanks for staying with us Kaitlin!
Thanks James and Leona for a lovely weekend in Drumshanbo. This is a large, homely, family-friendly house in an estate just outside the town with a green area across the road where our kids enjoyed playing football. It is a great base for exploring the Leitrim area- we really enjoyed cycling the Shannon blueway and visiting the local shed distillery home of the wonderful gunpowder gin. The true highlights of our visit were accomplishing the cuilcagh hike and enjoying some excellent pizza & playing pool at a local pub in Leitrim village! All in all a lovely few days. Thanks again folks!
An idyllic new year’s holiday in Sofie and Martin’s beautiful home in Stockholm. We absolutely loved our stay. Their home had everything we needed and more. It’s a beautiful home - stylish, yet cosy and comfortable and plenty of space for our family of five. In a beautiful neighbourhood, it was an ideal base for us to discover Stockholm for the first time - lots of snow fun, sledging, ice-skating, cheering for AIK at an ice-hockey game, and some skiing in Flottsbro, plus lots of time exploring the city and the museums. We also really enjoyed walking locally along the coastline to explore the very scenic locality. They were the most generous hosts and we were welcomed like friends. The communication with Sofie has been fabulous from start to end. We would absolutely love to do it again and hope that our paths will cross at some point in future. Thanks again Sofie, Martin and Alice xx
Thank you very much, so glad that you had a great stay in our home. You were the perfect guests and would love to meet someday.
We had a wonderful long weekend in Kristine and Antony’s home. From the start the communication was easy, open and honest. Although we didn’t meet in person we enjoyed a get to know each other video call before our arrival, which was great. We felt so welcome when we arrived in their comfortable and cosy home. We were spoilt with welcome goodies on arrival and our girls adored the little notes their girls left for them around the house. We felt very at home there. The location was great with a villagey feel, yet an easy and short train ride into the city. There were grocery stores nearby and a cute pub, as well as lots of eateries and a lovely park. We enjoyed our days exploring the sights of the city and then returning in the evening to relax and sleep. It just went too fast! Thank you again Kristine we had a fabulous time.
This was a magical non-sim exchange - the bucket list type! We truly received the warmest of welcomes from Vanessa, Gianluca and Noah. They have an absolutely beautiful home in a prime location in Sorrento - tastefully decorated with views to die for, a home oozing love, with two delightful and easy-going cats, walking distance to all of Sorrento’s gems and above all with the most gracious, kind and friendly hosts. We began our interactions with Vanessa over a year ago & since then feel we have made new friends in Sorrento. We spoke regularly and shared many laughs together. Vanessa went above and beyond assisting us with arranging transfers and tours. We had the most fabulous stay, ate the most amazing food following Vanessa’s fab recommendations, toured the Amalfi coast, took wonderful day trips to Pompeii and capri, spent days lazing by the pool and others lazing at the Sorrento beach clubs…it has just gone too fast and we return home with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you both for this amazing experience. We hope our paths will cross again in the future x
It was a pleasure to host Erin, her son caden and her sister in law on the first part of their world schooling trip. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet in person as we were away when during their stay. They very kindly looked after our dog while they were here, which we really appreciated. Thanks for staying with us.
Thanks Ciara. We loved your home and Everest was fun to watch over. I will leave official feedback for you soon. Travel day’s starting!
We were honoured to be Catherine’s first exchange. We were very warmly welcomed and had a wonderful few days in this beautiful, large and comfy home in Rosslare. Communication was great both before and during our exchange. Rosslare is an easy drive from Dublin and the house is perfectly located just a few steps from the beach. We enjoyed many walks on the beach, relaxing in the sunny garden and the kids also really enjoyed the mini golf and tennis courts across the road from the house. Thanks again Catherine!
It was a pleasure to host Cathy and her friend. Although we unfortunately didn’t get to meet in person as we were away when they arrived, the communication was great throughout and we had a lovely video call in advance of their arrival. We returned home to a wonderfully clean home, and a beautiful card and gift. We would welcome cathy back again anytime. Thanks for staying with us x
Camilla and Peter were an absolute pleasure to host. It was so wonderful to meet in person and to welcome them on their arrival. They are such a lovely, friendly, kind and generous couple. Communication was fabulous before arrival and throughout their stay and we loved receiving their updates during their stay of their travels around our little country. We returned home to an immaculate home, a beautiful card and some delightful gifts. We would welcome them back anytime and are delighted to have new PLU friends in Germany. Thanks for staying with us x
It has been an absolute pleasure to exchange with this lovely family. Vanessa, Gianluca, the boys and Emma were the most wonderful, open, respectful and trustworthy guests. Communication with Vanessa, which started over 18 months ago (I think!) has been absolutely great both via WhatsApp & FaceTime…with lots of shared interests and plenty of laughs along the way. Vanessa and family are clearly experienced exchangers and the absolute essence of PLU. Anyone would be lucky to swap with them! We came home to a sparkling clean home, a stocked fridge, and some fabulous gifts from Italy. We are delighted they enjoyed their stay in Dublin and they are welcome back anytime. We can’t wait to visit their beautiful home in Sorrento later in the year. Thanks again X
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Mayte and Paco to Dublin. They are a wonderfully friendly, honest, respectful and trustworthy couple. Communication was great from the very start and throughout their stay. A FaceTime in advance of their arrival was a super opportunity to get to know each other better and we got wonderful updates from them throughout their stay. They also went above and beyond in assisting us to prepare for the next guests. If that wasn’t enough we came home to some delicious gifts from Cordoba and amazing handmade presents for our girls. We are just sorry we didn’t get to meet in person - maybe next time! We would of be delighted to welcome them back anytime.
We had a very relaxing stay in Helen & Norman’s home in Fuerteventura. The pool and garden was a great spot to switch off & relax. Their home is within easy walking distance of the Atlantico centre and a beautiful beach. It is a great base from which to explore the island. We really enjoyed having a rental car, which enabled us to explore the island. We particularly enjoyed our visits to El Cotillo and to the water park! Thanks again Helen & Norman!
A fabulous new years holiday in Norwegian winter wonderland. We absolutely loved our stay in Madelon and Marcus’s cosy and comfortable home in Kongsberg. It was an ideal base for us to discover Norway for the first time - lots of snow fun, sledging and an intro to skiing for our girls plus a day trip into beautiful oslo, all the while enjoying coming home to the warmth of their home at the end of the day. We couldn’t have asked for more… but the icing on the cake was the wonderful hospitality of Madelon and Marcus. We felt so welcome in their home and they were the most generous hosts. We would absolutely love to do it again.
It was a total pleasure to have Alexandra, Francois and family to stay in our home. From the start of our discussions they were straightforward, honest, kind and respectful. The communication was excellent throughout. Not only was our home lovely and clean when we returned but we were also spoilt with gorgeous gifts, which made our return home even more memorable and special. Our only regret was that we never got to meet in person. We hope to meet in person in Paris or elsewhere at some point in the future. We feel like we have new friends in Paris and they are always welcome in our home.
A beautiful, peaceful home in the wonderful town of chatham, with a fantastic host Melissa…an absolutely idyllic stay in cape cod. We felt honored to be their first PLU swap. It was the ideal place for us to rest, recharge and explore the wonderful cape. Communication with Melissa was great throughout. The house is tastefully decorated, very comfortable and we felt really relaxed and extremely welcome here. The local town is gorgeous and the beaches & ponds are fantastic. Melissa kindly also offered us the use of their beach equipment, bikes and toys, which was greatly appreciated. Our kids absolutely loved their stay here, as did we! Our only regret was that we didn’t get to meet in person. Thanks again Melissa we would love to come back again sometime and we hope to welcome you and your lovely family in Ireland at some point in the future.
It was an absolute pleasure to have Liz and family to stay in our home on a globe stay. Communication was good throughout and we returned home to a kind gift and a lovely clean home. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet in person as we were away at the time. They are welcome again anytime.
What a fabulous swap with the wonderful Christina, Adam and family. What an amazing opportunity they gave us to fulfil our kids dream of visiting the big apple. We had an absolutely fantastic stay. Their home was an ideal base for us to explore the city. Very spacious for nyc, homely, comfortable and stylish with an abundance of toys to keep our kids entertained and everything and more that our family of five needed for our stay. Only a short walk to the subway and a local supermarket for supplies. But what was even better was the wonderful warm welcome, kindness and generosity offered by Christina. She was so lovely and friendly and communication was great throughout. We were delighted to meet her in person on our arrival and we felt so welcome in her home. We would love to come back again sometime. Highly recommend a swap with this lovely family.
What an absolute pleasure it was to meet Laurie, Joe, Piper and Becket when they arrived to stay in our home. The communication was always wonderful but it was even better to meet this lovely family in person and welcome them to Ireland. Highly recommend swapping with this wonderful family. So fun friendly, honest, warm and open. They felt like friends from the start…not to mention that we returned to our home in pristine order and to some very thoughtful gifts. We would be delighted to welcome them back anytime and we look forward to visiting their fabulous NZ home at some point in the future. Laurie, Joe and the boys thank you for this wonderful opportunity to connect and swap homes.
It was an absolute pleasure to have Madelon, Marcus and family to stay in our home for Easter. We were also really delighted to actually meet them in person when they arrived. They are an absolutely lovely couple - so warm and friendly. From the beginning they were very straight forward, kind, honest and trustworthy. The communication was excellent throughout and we had a lovely FaceTime call before they arrived which was a nice way to connect and get to know each other. They were wonderful guests. They left our home spotless and also left some gorgeous thank you gifts. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome them back anytime and are really looking forward to visiting their home in Norway later this year.
Dear Ciara, Donn Cha and girls. Thank you so much for the very warm welcome and lovely stay at your home. We loved your home, the neigborhood, the piano (for practicing some duets and Irish songs) and all Dublin has to offer but most of all your kindness, hospitality and trust. We are really looking forward to receiving you here later this year!
We were delighted to welcome
Caroline & Nicolas on a non-sim for their very first home exchange. From the beginning they were very easy, honest and trustworthy in our dealings with them. The communication was excellent throughout. They were really great guests and looked after our home very well. We arrived back to a lovely clean home and some very thoughtful gifts. We hope to meet in person when we visit their home in France next year. I would very much recommend exchanging with this lovely family.
Communication with Amelie was good before the stay via PLU and WhatsApp and she also kept us updated on their stay in our home in Dublin while here. They left our home tidy on departure. Recommended guests.
A very enjoyable first simultaneous PLU exchange for us. Communication was good. We felt very welcome and were welcomed with some lovely treats on arrival.
Amelie’s home is a lovely mix of traditional French and modern. We found it to be both comfortable and warm and an easy 45 minutes drive from central Paris. It is in the middle of the village and very close to a gorgeous boulangerie and a supermarket. The location is quiet and by the banks of the Seine. It was a good base for us to explore Paris, and its surroundings including Versailles, Disneyland Paris and some of the quaint local villages recommended by Amelie. We had a car, which I would recommend if staying here in order to make the most out of your stay. An enjoyable first sim exchange on PLU.
What an absolute pleasure to welcome experienced PLUers Corrine and Jef at our home. It couldn’t have been any better from start to finish. They were an absolute delight to deal with. The communication throughout was warm and friendly with a few shared laughs, which is so important. I couldn’t but recommend swapping with this wonderful couple. Add to this the fact that we returned to an immaculate home, an abundance of gifts and even a welcome home meal…their generosity knows no bounds. We cannot wait for our visit to their home in the future and really hope to meet in person at that time. Thanks again Corinne and Jef for taking a chance on us newbies x
It was an absolute pleasure to have Mojca, Blaz and family to stay as our very first PLU guests. From the beginning they were very straight forward, kind, honest and trustworthy. The communication was excellent throughout. They were wonderful guests and went above and beyond to leave our home ready for our return, even washing sheets and towels for us and leaving some gorgeous gifts. Our only regret was that we didn’t get to meet them in person. We would happily welcome them back anytime and hope that our paths may cross again at some point in the future. A wonderful first PLU exchange.
