General overview

Huge and beautiful 3 bedrooms 2 baths duplex with a beautiful backyard, about 2000 square feet, furnished with taste and close to everything. The house is located in one of the most desirable residential neighborhood of Brooklyn, the subway R train is 3 blocks away and the area is full of international restaurants, coffee shops, shopping strip on 86th (century 21, GAP, Victoria's secret, Aldo shoes....) street and 5mn away from a beautiful Shore road promenade where you could bike, walk or jog. All summer there is a food festival on 3rd avenue and plenty of festivities. 3rd avenue is a block away where you could find stores that are open 24 hours. You are 30mn from downtown Manhattan by car and about 45mn with the subway, this is a very safe, easily accessible and a very pleasant multicultural neighborhood that is trying to keep its authenticity. You will find wonderful restaurants such a Tanorreen (Palestinian), Gino's (Italian), The blue Door (Greek) and plenty of others if you like to eat out.

The space

The house is a two family house on 3 levels. We have tenants on the top floor and we live on the duplex (main and basement). The main floor of the house has a huge open space with an open kitchen and a library, there is a big guest room/office that has a twin size bed with a TV and a work area. There is a full bathroom on this floor as well. Downstairs there are 2 rooms (one with a queen size bed and the other has two twins) and a laundry room that has access to the backyard. This is also kind of an open space as there are no doors on the rooms, there is a bathroom with a shower. The backyard is usually planted with flowers for the season and would require some maintenance. This is a no pet and no smoking home.

Neighbourhood

Beautiful residential neighborhood, very safe and 10mn walk from a shore promenade. International stores, five stars restaurants and plenty of coffees shops only few blocks away.

Getting around

The subway is 3 blocks from the house, Manhattan downtown is 40mn away once in the subway with the express train or 20mn with a car. Coney Island Beach is 15mn away with a car. There are plenty of buses on 86th street to travel around Brooklyn.

We are a family of 4, I am an alternative health practitioner and my husband is a Math and computer university professor, we are an international family :) Originally from North Africa we lived in France and America and traveled almost everywhere for the past 20 years.
