Getting around
All the main places of Villajoyosa are within walking distance: the old town, the main beach, the city center, the Valor shop, the colorful market place, the museum of history and archeology etc. The TRAM stop is about a 7 minute walk, with connections to Alicante, Benidorm, Altea etc. Public transport is very cheap in Spain. Valencia is about a 1.5 hour drive. It is also possible to take a bus to Valencia from the bus station in Benidorm.
If you bring your own (rental) car: the apartment comes with its own, dedicated parking spot inside the building.
By the way, in general it is not expensive to rent a car at the airport of Alicante.
Alicante by car: 35 minutes. By TRAM: 50 minutes.
Valencia by car: 1.5 hours. By public transport: I don't know :-)
The white washed village of Altea by car: 30 minutes. By TRAM: 50(?) minutes (change TRAM at Benidorm).
To Campello, with its 3 km long Muchavista beach, by car: 25 minutes. By TRAM: 30 minutes.
To the tourist hot spot of Benidorm, by car: 15 minutes. By TRAM: 20 minutes.
Other interesting places to visit: Calpe, the island of Tabarca, the city of Elche with its palm parks, Finestrat, Denia, Fonts de l'Algar waterfalls, the spectacular mountain village of Guadalest etc etc etc ;-)
The rugged mountains are more difficult to reach by public transport (bus), but by car, bike or motor cycle, really worthwhile to visit!

We are 2 friends, both born in the Netherlands and now living in Spain. We both are called Ingrid :-) (so now my nickname is Bo). I'm an artist, songwriter, musician and filmmaker. Ingrid is a professional coach/counselor. We both are entrepreneurs for a long time.
We are very flexible with our time.
We are interested in shorter and longer exchanges (1 month or more).
