General overview
This spacious 3000sqft home is nestled along the tree-lined streets of a lovely, safe, and family-friendly neighborhood. We are only about an hour north of the Atlanta International Airport. We have 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 1 half bath. Our backyard is complete with peaceful landscaping, countless species of birds, and the relaxing sound of a Koi pond/waterfall. Beyond our back gate, you can walk 1/4 of a mile along a partially paved path to Lake Allatoona, where you can relax, kayak, swim, fish, or just take in the beauty. The neighborhood also has other nature paths, paved sidewalks for walking/biking, and a playground.
The space
Our home has 3 floors, connected by stairs. The main living space includes a cozy living room that seats 8 with a fireplace and large-screen TV. The living room is open to a spacious kitchen with a large fridge, air fryer, oven, stove, microwave, a crockpot. You can spread out and eat at either the dine-in kitchen table or the more formal dining area. The first floor is finished with a pantry, half bath, laundry room, and garage access.
The 2nd floor is where you will find 3 kids' bedrooms and a master bedroom. Kid rooms 1 and 2 have twin loft beds with desks. Kid room 3 has 2 twin beds. The master bedroom suite has a king bed, 2 desks to work at, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, jetted tub, double sink, and lots of closet space.
The basement is super flexible! We have a twin daybed that turns into a King bed, a kids' play area, and a bonus theater room. There is a small workout room that includes a weight bench, free weights, and a punching bag. The basement also has access to a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Our beautiful pond/waterfall is home to 2 koi fish. They would love for someone to drop a few pellets in daily and potentially turn a hose on to fill up the pond, if it gets low. If you are unable to do this, we can make other arrangements for them.
Guest access
Guests will have access to all three floors. The home has a few steps up the front door and each floor is connected by stairs.

There is a Publix, Walmart, and Kroger close by. Walmart delivery services our area, if like that convenience!

We are an active family of 6 who love to travel. We spent 2 years traveling full-time through AirBnb and are now enjoying our home base, while still exploring new locations. Dad works from home as a software engineer and mom homeschools the kids ages 14, 12, 7, and 4. We are also members of Trusted Housesitters and have enjoyed caring for animals all around Canada and the US!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
This is a drone shot of the woods and Lake Allatoona, right behind our home.
Enjoy this view by walking on the 1/4 mile path out our back gate. It's partially paved and then we cleared a section where you can walk right down to the shore. You can swim, kayak, paddleboard, fish, or birdwatch from this breathtaking spot!
This is the path we cleared, through the trees, to be able to enjoy this beautiful lake!
We have life vests, a regular 1 person kayak, a blow-up kayak, and blow-up rafts that you are welcome to use.
