Neighbourhood
Our property is raised above the neighbours so is secluded, but only a 2 min drive to a little general store, a couple of restaurant, pub and a few more minutes to the nearest village about 8km down the hill.
The delights of Bilpin are just a short drive and Mt Tomah botanical gardens are only 25mins drive.
Beautiful viewing spots, hiking trails, and apple orchards are all a short drive away.
There is a nice selection of cafes and wine bars scattered around the Hawkesbury, in Bilpin, and in the cute Kurrajong village.
The beautiful gardens of Mt Wilson are a nice day out as is the Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens.
The Blue Mountains, Lithgow etc are an easy day trip.
The historic town of Windsor with a great selection of cafes is 30 mins drive, and there is a market in Windsor on Sundays, and in Richmond on Saturdays.
Nearest airport
Sydney airport is about 1.5-2 hrs drive (quicker in the Westconnex tunnel)
Getting Around
Definitely need a car to tour the local area, and to get around. The driveway and roads in the area are quite steep.
