Neighbourhood
Our apartment in Glebe is ideally located for exploring Sydney’s best attractions and local treasures!
Glebe is an excellent central location, offering easy access to Sydney’s downtown attractions while maintaining a relaxed, neighborhood vibe.
Whether you’re seeking culinary delights, waterfront tranquility, or a touch of local culture, Glebe has it all!
Glebe is a vibrant neighborhood close to the city centre with all the amenities you need after a busy day sightseeing across Sydney.
Begin your day with a short stroll to Glebe Point Road (about 8–10 minutes uphill from the apartment), where you’ll find an array of charming cafes, bakeries, and coffee shops. Enjoy a delicious breakfast with freshly baked pastries and coffee as you take in the laid-back atmosphere.
Alternatively, take a scenic walk along Blackwattle Bay Reserve to the famous Sydney Fish Market, one of the largest seafood markets in the world. Grab a coffee and browse the fresh seafood stalls, planning your lunch or picking up a treat to enjoy by the water. Indulge in freshly shucked oysters, sashimi, or a seafood platter while soaking up the views of the bay.
Or take a pleasant walk along the bay to the Tramsheds. This beautifully restored tram depot is now a food and shopping destination, offering boutique eateries, gelato, and a gourmet supermarket. Walk back through Glebe’s Toxteth neighbourhood and admire the historic avenues and grand trees.
For shopping or entertainment, head to the nearby Broadway Shopping Mall, a 20-minute walk from the apartment. This bustling retail hub has everything from supermarkets to boutique stores, a cinema, a food court, and a selection of cafes. If you’re up for more exploration, Central Park Mall is just a short walk further, offering unique shops, entertainment and dining options. Explore the unique White Rabbit Gallery, just across from Central Park.
While you’re in the area, visit Spice Alley, a vibrant culinary hub reminiscent of Southeast Asia’s hawker streets. Enjoy a range of affordable and authentic dishes from Thai, Malaysian, Chinese, and Vietnamese cuisines. The lively atmosphere and delicious food will make for a memorable evening.
For dinner, Glebe Point Road offers an excellent selection of restaurants and pubs, featuring everything from modern Australian to Thai and Italian. King Street, Newtown is just 10mins away in an Uber and offers every choice of cuisine imaginable.
