General Overview
My home is a relatively new two-level apartment, designed by renowned local architect, Kirsten Thompson. The apartment has been thoughtfully designed to have a high energy rating, and has double glazed windows throughout.
The downstairs has polished concrete floors, 3M ceiling, and a stunning fully equipped marble kitchen with every tool and accessory to cook up a storm. Upstairs has blackbutt timber flooring, high ceilings, 2 bedrooms and a central bathroom. The 2nd bedroom is set up as a study with a desk and monitor for you to WFH; it also has a Koala pull out couch (read: very comfortable), so the home can host 3-4 guests if required.
Though the address is on a main road with a tram, the apartment is accessed via a laneway and 100M back from the road. The apartment front door opens onto a bluestone path which is pedestrian only, and faces onto a park. Which means you will experience a sense of peace coming home every day, and wake to the sound of birds singing, despite living in a busy area. You will also get to see a beautiful sunset every night.
Reflecting a love of mid-century design, the apartment is furnished with lovely curated furniture and art, yet doesn't take itself too seriously and has a fund and relaxed vibe. It gets beautiful light throughout the day.
It’s in the heart of Brunswick East, one of Melbourne's coolest inner north neighborhood's. The neighborhood itself is very walkable, with lots of fabulous restaurants and bars nearby, and there is a tram right out front which will take you to the heart of Melbourne city in 20 minutes.
The Space
Very comfortable Sealy queen bed. Electric black-out blinds. A small back courtyard with festoon lights, it's a lovely spot for an evening drink.

Two level home, with staircase leading up to the 2 bedrooms and the bathroom.

Neighbourhood
Brunswick East is 6.5km North of Melbourne's CBD. It's highly walkable, with good access to green spaces. It's a friendly neighborhood of mixed demographics - young people, young families, and older retirees. It has an artsy, bohemian vibe in some parts, and many Brunswick East residents have a strong commitment to cycling and recycling.
The 96 tram is about 300M walk from the apartment, and will have you in the city in 20 minutes.
Getting to my home
20 minutes from Melbourne airport via Uber, or you can take the tram from the city.
If you're driving, I can't offer you a car-spot in the building, but you can park on the street opposite the park for free.

Melbourne, Tullamarine is 20-25 minutes by Uber / Taxi
Getting Around
There is a shopping village about 400M walk away, which has a Supermarket, Organic health food shop, organic butcher, cinema, brewery, bakery, cafe and pharmacy. So you really can get everything you need on foot. Trendy Lygon street where there is loads of restaurants is about 7 minutes walk. Fitzroy North is about 10-15 minutes walk.
