General Overview

We have a unique property set in 24,000sqm of countryside 10mins from the world surf reserve town of Ericeira, Portugal, (45 mins from Lisbon) with private swimming pool and skateboard bowl. A short drive from several beaches, great seafood restaurants, bars & cafes. We're a middle aged couple, with two adult children and the apartment's beneath our family home, so generally someone will be around for advice or help. It's is a calm space, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing break!

The Space

You will be staying in one of two, one bedroom self contained apartments on the ground floor. You have your own private entrance and doors that lead out onto an amazing patio, with salt water swimming pool & skate bowl. Where you can enjoy blissful views of the countryside and ocean. The bedroom has two comfortable single beds, a chair, and space to hang/store clothes. Next door is a classic tiled bathroom with a shower cabin. You also have your own private, large living/dining room to relax in, with comfy sofas, and coffee table, reading material, and underfloor heating, in the winter, if needed. If you feel like eating in, there is a table and fully equipped kitchenette, with everything you might need. It has a kettle, cafetiere and toaster, plus an oven, induction hob, integrated fridge and dishwasher. The space is designed for comfort, so can be enjoyed by all, at anytime of year. Couples, and families with older children will feel equally at home here. It makes the ideal base from which to explore the area, and the plentiful activities which are available; hiking, horse riding, paddle boarding, surfing and yoga, amongst many others.

Guest Access

The apartment is on the ground of the property, but there are cobbles on the patio, and several large concrete drops, (including obviously the skate bowl), hence the space is not safe/suitable for young children, or the very elderly.

Notes

The ground floor apartments are generally used as short term holiday rentals, so there maybe guests in the apartment next door during your stay. It is our family home so the upper floors will generally be occupied by us, and the outdoor space is shared by all, including our three friendly dogs!

Neighbourhood

The beaches of Coxos and São Lourenço are less than a 10 min drive, as are great local shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. For more variety of restaurants, shops, and bars, the fishing town of Ericeira is only 3.4 miles away. Famous for having some of the best surfing beaches in Europe, there are many other outdoor pursuits also available, like paddle boarding, cycling and horse riding. It is easy to get to Lisbon, and there are several interesting day trips that can be made to explore the sights of Mafra, Sintra and towns of the Silver Coast.

Getting to my home

The easiest way to arrive at the property and explore the surrounding area is by car, and there is ample parking at the rear of the building. Alternatively it is possible to arrive by Uber, Bolt or taxi. There is also a regular bus service from Campo Grande in Lisbon, to Ericeira, which takes aprox 1 hour

Nearest airport

Lisbon airport is 51 km away, about a 45 minute drive.

Getting Around

Car is the easiest option, alternatively, taxis, Uber & Bolt are possible, at around a cost of about €5 into Ericeira. The nearest bus stop is a 12 min walk from the property, with a very limited bus service to Ericeira. From the bus station in Ericeira, there are regular connections to Lisbon, Sintra and Mafra. The property is about a 35 min walk from the nearest shops/cafe/restaurants.
