SilverStar Mountain Resort is located 20 minutes from Vernon, BC. This year-round resort offer the perfect holiday in the incredible mountains of BritishColumbia!
In the winter, enjoy fluffy powder alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, skating (on a beautiful outdoor pond), snowshoeing or a wild tube-ride down the mountain. Even a casual stroll through the village to shop or eat at the many restaurants or bakeries or a scenic ride on the gondola to enjoy the spectacular views as the mountain is usually above the valley cloud below!
In the summer, the mountain is a peaceful sanctuary. Away from the blistering heat in the Okanagan Valley, SilverStar is know from its well-developed downhill and cross-country mountain biking trails. The hiking trails bring you through beautiful terrain where you will easily spot an abundance of wildflowers, alpine birds and sometimes even a bear on the hillsides enjoying the summer berry feast.
The Space
This 2-bed condo can sleep 7 (1 king, a double/single bunk bed, a pullout queen bed). It’s heated with a stone-surround gas fireplace and has a sunny patio overlooking one of the ski lifts. The first-floor hot tub and games room are great after a long day on the mountain! It’s at the quietest section of the mountain, only a short walk to the village. It is true ski in/out right from the door. The trailheads for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and mountain biking are also right at the doorstep. Only a 5 minute walk to the tubing and skating pond.
Guest Access
Main parking (pass for 1 vehicle provided) is right in front of the building. There is a keypad entry to the front door.
Notes
SilverStar Mountain Resort is only a 20 minute drive up the mountain from Vernon, BC. Although most amenities you could need (small grocery, day spa, restaurants/bakeries, shopping, bowling) are on the mountain, it’s just a quick trip to town if you’d like to stock up on something more.
Vernon is a 40 minute drive from the international airport in Kelowna (YLW) that has international direct flights or easy transfers from Vancouver (YVR) or Calgary.
The condo is in the last building of a cluster of buildings called Creekside. It is the quietest section of the mountain to live that still is full ski in/out. It’s a short walk to the village, skating, tubing, and the spa.
