The PLU platform is more than a home exchange site! It is a space where each member wants to support and encourage others. We exchange our homes but also a way of living together! Tips, tricks, giveaways, and even a Secret Santa are some of what we love about this platform. And we also want to share all this to create a new, more egalitarian and collaborative world. I write my testimony in Italian because unfortunately in Italy traveling by exchanging houses is still a little-known way of travelling, but believe me it is fantastic: you visit places you would never have visited, far from tourist destinations, you are guests in houses full of comforts, you meet people welcoming from all over the world and they often stay in contact with you over time, you save money and sometimes even exchanging the car is very convenient, there is always someone at your house to water your plants or feed your animal friends. Of all the communities I signed up for, this is undoubtedly the best, super organized and full of nice people!

We are long time home exchangers yet have never encountered a community of like minded travellers such as PLU. Supportive, friendly, caring, giving. It’s quite the “world” we all have helped to create here at PLU! Come join us and experience travel like you’ve never travelled before.

Discovering PLU has been such a wonderful experience for us. We love the community and exchanging has completely changed the way we think about travelling. With two small children and being restricted to school holidays, travel was previously so expensive and frustrating. We love arriving at a new exchange with all the home comforts and being able to explore somewhere new. We would urge anyone on the fence to jump right in, you won’t regret it.
