Welcome to our getaway on the shore of Pemaquid Lake. The large deck has unobstructed views of the lake and the home sits only 15 feet from the water. The home faces west for amazing sunset views year round. There is ample parking and a one car garage with electric car charger.
There are three bedrooms and two full baths, one bath with a tub. We have a washer and dryer in the basement. One bedroom has a split king bed (can be set up as two twins too), one has a queen bed, and the third has one full, two twin beds, and a pull out trundle. We have AC units in the bedrooms for those few hot summer nights. There is a dock and float out in the summer time and we have three kayaks, two paddle boards and assorted floaties to use. We have a homemade fire pit outside and locally harvested logs.
There is central heat for the colder seasons and we have a generator in case of a power outage. The home is fully stocked with all the cooking and cleaning things you'll need. We live here on and off all year and so we do have some personal items here. We make sure to clear room in the cabinets for our guests to use.
We are chemical and allergen sensitive and use only non toxic cleaners with no synthetic fragrance, have air purifiers throughout the home, supply non toxic cookware, and use organic sheets. We ask that our guests be sensitive to this and only use the cleaning supplies, including laundry detergent, provided. We also ask that no perfume or room fragrance spray is used in the home.
This is a classic Maine lake house, not high design and perfect, but super clean, comfy, and carefully appointed. It's only steps from the lake surrounded by old pine trees. There are bugs that make it inside now and again and plenty of wildlife around the home. You'll see lots of chipmunks and squirrels, song birds, ducks, geese and loons. If you are lucky you might see the lake's resident bald eagle, wild turkeys, turtles, and deer too. We have a small sandy beach area perfect for young kids where they can play. We have fishing poles you can use to catch small mouth bass off the dock.
We live about an hour away and are available by phone anytime if you need something. We have family that lives a couple miles away too.

We are an active family of three. We work in real estate sales and development in Portland, Maine, USA and exchange two properties in Portland and one in midcoast Maine. We prefer to live like locals when we travel, immersing ourselves in the culture of the places we visit. We are multi sport athletes and enjoy outdoor activities in any season. We are very conscientious guests and hosts. We keep our homes clean and organized and like to exchange with people that do so as well. We are long time home exchangers on another platform with over 50 exchanges and five star reviews.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
