General overview

My home is cozy, nicely furnished with lots of natural light. We live on the first floor of a family house. My sister and my brother in law live downstairs.

The space

Our apartment is spacious, it has two bathrooms, three bedrooms and a work space. We have a nice furnished balcony with a BBQ for guests to use and a beautiful view. Our big backyard is perfect if you want to catch some sun while having a drink, or if you come with kids, they will appreciate our trampoline and other toys we have available like bikes, scooter, skateboard...

Neighbourhood

We are located in a quiet, residential area, only half an hour walk from the city centre. Around us there are plenty of bus stops that will take you everywhere. Grocery stores such as Aldi and Lidl are a short walk away. The residents of Schweinfurt are proud of their river front walks and the extensive park system with paths for walking, jogging, hiking, biking and in-line skating. The Schweinfurt park system also provides tennis and basketball courts as well as soccer, field hockey and handball fields for amateur sports enthusiasts. In particular, the Gutermann Promenade along the river and the Wehr Park are very popular. The Main River is a heaven for windsurfers, stand up paddler, canoeists, kayakers and sailors. Take the time to also explore the surrounding area. The Franconian wine country is a revelation for lovers of a good drop of wine. Whether at a wine tasting directly at the vintner's cellar, in cozy wine bars or at cheerful wine festivals – there are so many good opportunities to enjoy a glass of Franconian in pleasant surroundings. Our region is also a real gourmet country. A tour through Franconia along the Main River with its beautiful old castles, rolling vineyard and cozy villages, is relaxing and enjoyable for body and mind. It is a short drive away by bicycle or car. The countryside between the Spessart, Rhon and Steigerwald mountains with its natural beauty, mystical castles and quaint villages have the flavour of Italy's Tuscany with a soothing Franconian accent. Biking is a favored way to get around, with secure biking paths throughout. Hiking the back roads of our countryside is fun, you can reach your departure point via convenient regional trains (they are fun to ride and very economical given today's gasoline prices) and your itinerary can be a few miles or a daylong excursion, to end at another train station to take you back home. The beauty of living in a relatively small town like Schweinfurt is that we are centrally located in Europe, less than two hours from Frankfurt, one hour from beautiful Nurnberg, two and a half from Munich and four hours from Prague. Lots of great public transportation available.

Stella

Hi, my name is Stella and I'm originally from Lake Como, Italy. I'm a doula, as well as an actress and designer; I love photography, sunsets at the beach and the ocean. I worked in the hospitality industry since I was 16, owning a restaurant in Italy with my family. Bernd,my husband, is originally from Germany. He is a mechanical engineer. He loves the outdoors; climbing, surfing, hiking and growing his own food. We just returned to Europe after living in the States for 13 years. We have three small kids, Leonardo (6) Luna (5) and Lucas (3). We were Airbnb hosts for a couple of years and it was a wonderful experience. We are also experienced pet sitters. We are very excited to share our home with people from all over the world. We speak Deutsch, English, Español, Italiano.
