General overview
‘The Studio’ is attached to our main house, but has its own separate entry and is private from the rest of the house.
It is warm and welcoming with everything for a comfortable stay.
We will more than likely be at home whilst you are here.
There are stunning views from your own semi enclosed deck across the property and to adjacent mountains.
.
It is a fully self contained/ self catering.
Ideally for a two people
Not really suitable for children although a small child can easily sleep on the sofa, but it’s ideal for two people.
.
It has a very comfortable king size bed with lovely quality linen, plus an electric blanket for chilly nights.
Spectacular NE mountain views from your private deck.
Situated on 15 acres, with direct access to the Huon River.
Huonville - 14km
Hobart - 34km
The space
There is a very comfortable king sized bed, a fold out queen sofa, an ensuite bathroom, a 'table for two', a small kitchen and a your own semi enclosed deck.
There is a flat screen TV with access to Netflix, Prime, Stan and other TV Apps.
Reverse cycle air conditioning for cooling and heating, plus electric blankets for cooler nights.
The private sun filled deck has a BBQ area and is the perfect place to relax with a cuppa in the morning, or a cocktail in the evening.
Facing North East there are spectacular views across to the Huon River and mountains.
*Not The shower recess is a bit of a step to get into as it used to be used as a corner spa bath. Being that we rely on rainwater the spa bath is rarely used unless our water tanks are overflowing which only happens in winter.
We are striving to live a self sustainable lifestyle, so grow most of our own food.
Depending on the season …there are free range eggs from our girls, plus seasonal vegetables, fruit, herbs and even pasture raised meat from our lambs and steers.
Guest access
There are no stairs with everything on the one level.
Notes
You will be welcome to roam and explore around our lovely property.
There are a few slopes on the property, so please be aware for anyone with mobility issues. That being said "The Studio" is all on one level and has spectacular views and very easy and level access from the carport.

Best to fly into Hobart. You can hire a car from the airport or it’s usually cheaper if you catch a taxi into Hobart city for a better car hire deal.

Paul had his license to drive our motorhome, so we met at their home and did an easy swap for them to travel in it at their leisure.
They looked after it , even washing in before return :)
Look forward to doing another swap with them again in the future 😊
Anita, Matthias, and Simon were gems during their hospitality stay.
Their warmth and organisation were evident from the moment they arrived.
They left their space spotless, and sharing a meal with them was a highlight.
We are so pleased they had a chance to explore some beautiful local areas.
Since they are travelling for a few months it was also nice for them to relax and recharge their batteries too.
We would gladly welcome them back anytime, and wholeheartedly endorse them as exchange partners.
Here's to hoping our paths cross again during our travels!
Liz, Max, daughter Sophie and adorable grandson Leo stayed at ours for a few nights. It was wonderful to meet them (albeit briefly) before I headed off on a mini holiday of my own.
They left our place spic and span 🙏 plus some lovely sunset pics of their stay along with a video of little Leo feeding the chickens and sheep. His little laugh is so cute 🥰
We look forward catching up again and staying at theirs when we head to UK later this year 🤩
It was sensational to meet Sandra and Reg! Such a warm and friendly couple and a wealth of knowledge about all things house exchanging.
They left everything in the house spic and span. We look forward to staying at their beautiful place in Agnes Water on day.
It was our absolute pleasure to have Katharina, Moritz and lovely little Leni stay at our house. It was a hospitality/non-simultaneous exchange.
Being our first PLU non-sum exchange we couldn’t have asked for better! They are an AMAZING young couple and their little one Leni is a delight 💕
They had their own private area in our house. We respected each others privacy, but also got together many times for meals, chats and laughs.
We couldn’t have asked for friendlier, kinder, funner, positive and helpful people. They left everything so very clean and tidy too.
Moritz even helped us stack 100’s of our hay bales into our shed, and Kathi made the YUMMIEST garlicky aioli ever!
We look forward to staying in their apartment in 2024, but much more to catch up with them again!
Loved every minute of it 😃
Pauline and Cameron’s luxury motorhome was nothing short of amazing.
Being able to stay in a spectacular remote location and have a comfortable (deluxe) space to enjoy after a day’s exploration was the best!
We were so pleased they allowed us to take our pooch Janet along with us too.
We loved every minute! Thanks guys :-)
Pauline, Cameron and friends looked after our hens and our house so well. They were kind, fun l, friendly & helpful. They left everything spic and span!
It was great to have the opportunity to meet such lovely people.
