Neighbourhood

Our building is located near the Butte aux Cailles, a village in Paris like Montmartre but unknown to tourists. There are many cafés, restaurants, small squares with trees ... - 3 not far stations: Montparnasse, Lyon and Austerlitz. - 3 metro stations: Tolbiac, Place d'Italie or Olympiades. - bus: n° 27, 47, 67 and the cross 513 Bièvre-Montsouris, superb routes in Paris that will take you to the most beautiful museums and gardens. We also like to go to Saint Germain des Prés on foot (3km). Our building is located near the Butte aux Cailles, a village in Paris like Montmartre but unknown to tourists. Getting Around

The metro and buses are at the bottom of the building a few meters away. For those who eat organic like us, there are the shops: - "Naturenville" (vegetables & fruits), a few meters on the same sidewalk - "Bio C'Bon" (grocery store, vegetables & fruits) in front of our residence - "Biocoop" 180, rue de Tolbiac 2 blocks from our building For non-organic, on the ground floor of our building a large "Monoprix" where you will find food including prepared dishes but also newspapers ... And finally, Place d'Italie, for those who love shopping, "Italy 2" is a "mall", a shopping mall where you can find everything close to home. Blandine

Our apartment in Paris and our cottage in Brittany are available at any time of the year. We are a retired couple from teaching and have been doing exchanges since 2006. We love music ; JP is a bassoonist and saxophonist and Blandine is a singer. Literature, the arts, walking, swimming occupy us every day. We practice kayaking in Brittany; we are desperately trying kayak fishing !!! We love to travel of course, discover new destinations and meet new people but we also like to return to the places we have loved and we are very happy to keep in touch with the people with whom we have already exchanged. We love the city, the mountains, the sea ... The exchanges are not necessarily simultaneous. In Paris as in Camoël (Southern Brittany), we can only accommodate 2 adults non smoking and without animals. Notre appartement à Paris comme notre chaumière en Bretagne sont disponibles à tout moment de l'année. Nous sommes un couple retraité de l'enseignement et faisons des échanges depuis 2006. Nous aimons la musique ; JP est bassoniste et saxophoniste et Blandine est chanteuse. La littérature, les arts, la marche à pied, la natation nous occupent tous les jours. Nous pratiquons le kayak en Bretagne ; nous tentons désespérément la pêche en kayak !!! Nous adorons voyager bien sûr, découvrir de nouvelles destinations et faire de nouvelles rencontres mais nous aimons aussi retourner sur les lieux que nous avons aimés et sommes très heureux de rester en contact avec les personnes avec qui nous avons déjà échangé. Nous aimons la ville, la montagne, la mer... Les échanges ne sont pas obligatoirement simultanés. A Paris comme à Camoël (Bretagne Sud), nous ne pouvons accueillir que 2 personnes adultes non fumeur et sans animaux.
