General Overview

El Hoyo (Chubut) is one of the most charming destinations in Argentine Patagonia. Crystal-clear lakes, towering mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and forests create a unique landscape that invites both adventure and relaxation. The region offers countless outdoor activities: trails for all skill levels; mountain routes with refuges that allow you to immerse yourself in the authentic Patagonian spirit; fishing spots; scenic drives; and exquisite local cuisine that reflects the area's identity. Additionally, ski slopes (Cerro Perito Moreno, El Bolsón) are located just 20 minutes from the house. Our house is located in El Pedregoso, a picturesque area of ​​small farms known for producing berries, such as raspberries and blackberries. Here, the tranquility of the countryside blends with the beauty of the Andean landscape, creating the ideal setting to unplug and unwind. Situated right off the iconic Route 40, the property is accessible by public transport, though service is infrequent. Therefore, we recommend arriving in your own vehicle or a rental car so you can explore the area more conveniently. The region's main towns are very close by: * El Hoyo: 10 minutes * Lago Puelo: 20 minutes * El Bolsón: 20 minutes * San Carlos de Bariloche: 60 minutes We are confident that the Andean region will capture your heart. The Space

Our home is a warm, inviting retreat in the heart of the majestic Andes mountains, situated in Argentine Patagonia along the iconic Route 40, which runs the length of the country from north to south. Unique mountain views can be admired from every window, while the warmth of the fireplace creates a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Each season here holds its own magic: in winter, the peaks are blanketed in snow; in summer, harvest time arrives, and the air fills with the scent of freshly picked fruit. The house features a spacious living-dining area, a kitchen, two bathrooms (one en-suite), a laundry room, and two bedrooms, each with a double bed. It is equipped with heating and a wood-burning fireplace. It sits on a two-hectare property featuring native trees, berry patches, fruit trees, and a small flock of sheep (which has its own caretaker). Excellent internet connectivity is provided via Starlink. We do not have pets of our own, though our neighbor's dog and cat visit often; they are well-behaved and do not enter the house, though they do wander through the garden. Additionally, our gardener visits every two weeks to keep the lawn well-maintained. Birds—such as southern lapwings (*teros*) and black-faced ibises (*bandurrias*)—also frequently visit the garden. Smoking is not permitted inside the house. Cleaning fee: $50

Getting to my home

To reach our house, you must first fly to Buenos Aires. Then, take a connecting flight to Bariloche Airport in Río Negro. From there, rent a car; we are located 110 km to the south, along a fully paved road surrounded by incredible scenery.
