General Overview
Our home is a beautiful, newly renovated semi-detached family house that was built in 2005. The pastel colors of the interior creates a bright and cosy atmosphere throughout the house. The spacious and bright living room's centerpiece is a marble fireplace that makes even the chilliest evening snug. The kitchen is well equipped with all modern appliances and perfect for the lovers of cooking and baking. One of the four bedrooms upstairs is an en-suite master bedroom with a king size bed and has a balcony. Two of the other bedrooms have a beautiful view of Galway bay and the wild Connemara - one of them has a double bed, the other one is a child’s room with a single bed and a toddler bed- while the fourth bedroom is a fully furnished nursery. There is also a pull-out couch in the living room that turns into a double bed. Our home has a colourful lush garden, perfect for BBQs and star gazing.

Neighbourhood
We live in a quiet leafy housing estate just 15 minutes from the city center of Galway. The estate has huge green parks, play grounds, a football pitch, free basketball court and even a free tennis court. It is situated on a direct public bus route to Galway city center and the bus stop is in front of the estate. Buses run every 15 minutes Monday-Saturday and 20-25 minutes on Sunday.
It is an ideal, central base for exploring the gorgeous and vibrant city of Galway as well as the west of Ireland with the world famous, scenic Wild Atlantic Way.
Galway is an 18th century harbour city with winding streets and lively atmosphere. It is well known for being the culinary and art capital of Ireland. You will not only find art, music or food festivals pretty much every month but it is also home for some of the best restaurants in the country raging from lively pubs to Michelin star restaurants. It is also the home of the biggest horse racing event in Ireland, the Galway Races that takes place in the last week of July. The numerous traditional Irish pubs with live music guarantees no dull evening here. Whenever it is nature, the hustle and bustle of an Irish town or Irish life you want to experience, it has it all!

Hi, we are Nikolett (Hungarian), Brendan (Irish), Rory (5), Ana (3) and Florence (1) living in the gorgeous city of Galway, Ireland. Brendan is a primary school teacher and Nikolett is an ex-cabin crew, now working for a software development company. We have an adorable French Bulldog, Leo who stays with our family during our exchange. We absolutely love traveling, we lived in the USA (New York) and in the UAE (Abu Dhabi), but there are so many places we haven’t seen yet.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community.
