General Overview

Nice neighborhood with pedestrian paths. House located near a bus stop: allows you to get to the city in 20 minutes. Canal for walking or cycling 10 minutes away. Media library (card available), market on Wednesdays, 3 shopping centres 10 minutes away for shopping. Supermarket nearby that can be reached on foot. Golf driving range at 1 km 18-hole golf course 15 km. Several festivals in Rennes, the Frac, the Parliament, many concerts (Opera), plays at the TNB, shopping in the city and, the Champs Libres museum, Ecomuseum. Saint-Malo, the beaches: 45mn, Mont-St-Michel: 1h15, Cancale: 1h, Fougères, Vitré, etc... Landing beaches at 1:30 am... Documentation, maps and walks are available for visits and walking.

The Space

House available for evacuated residents from areas with fires or smoke. Holidaymakers in these areas not concerned. Cozy house, fireplace, 2 living rooms, functional kitchen, lots of kitchen utensils for those who want to make "small dishes" (induction hob), possibility to make bread and yogurts. 3 bedrooms upstairs and an office. A bathroom (shower) on the ground floor, a bathroom upstairs (bath), ditto wc. "Priest's garden", fountain, terrace in the shade, vegetables, etc... Terrace, next to the kitchen, we often eat outside. Bicycles, rose bushes, lots of birds. Compost, private parking space Calm in the city. Friendly neighbors and willing to help.

Tourism off the beaten track: come and discover Rennes, its gardens: there are many, many activities, many of which are free! Many cities to visit nearby within 3/4 of an hour's drive: Vitré, Saint-Malo, Dinard... Mont-Saint Michel at 60 km. Landing beaches at 1:30 am. Our beach: the beach "du Verger" is 45 minutes from the house. Numerous possibilities for hikes from the house and surroundings. Possibility of cleaning service (95 €)

Rennes or Nantes airport, then bus home. Direct TGV from Charles de Gaulle airport (Paris) to Rennes station. Bus at the exit of the train station (C1) arrives 300 meters from the house.

Denise

Denise and Marc (71 and 73 years old): we are retired and love to travel. We have carried out more than 100 exchanges since 2001, on another site that has evolved, and want to refocus on traditional exchanges. We are curious and we travel both in France and abroad.
