General Overview

Nice neighborhood with pedestrian paths. 
House located near a bus stop: allows you to get to the city in 20 minutes. 
Canal for walking or cycling 10 minutes away. 
Media library (card available), market on Wednesdays, 3 shopping centres 10 minutes away for shopping. 
Supermarket nearby that can be reached on foot. Hypermarkets and large shopping malls 5 minutes away by car. 
Golf driving range, golf, horse riding, theatres, opera, Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne, café with live music, guided tours of the city, 2 free socialising areas in St Grégoire.  
Golf driving range at 1 km 18-hole golf course 15 km. 

Several festivals in Rennes, the Frac, the Parliament, many concerts (Opera), plays at the TNB, shopping in the city and, the Champs Libres museum, Ecomuseum. 

Saint-Malo, the beaches: 45mn, Mont-St-Michel: 1h15, Cancale: 1h, Fougères, Vitré, etc... Landing beaches at 1h30...

The Space

Cozy house, fireplace, 2 living rooms, functional kitchen, lots of kitchen utensils for those who want to make "small dishes" (induction hob), possibility to make bread and yogurts.  
3 bedrooms upstairs and an office.  
2 beds 140x190, 3 beds 90x190. 
An extra bed for children. 
A cot. 
A bathroom (shower) on the ground floor, a bathroom upstairs (bath), ditto wc. 
"Priest's garden", fountain, terrace in the shade, vegetables, etc... 
Terrace to the north to enjoy the garden when it's hot, next to the kitchen we often eat outside. 
Bicycles, rose bushes, lots of birds. 
Compost, private parking space
Calm in the city. 
Friendly neighbors and willing to help. 
The house is not free from November 1st to March 31st, because we have an electricity subscription that varies according to use in cold weather in France, and which is very difficult to manage in red times because electricity is then very very expensive! If you feel able to manage this, contact us! 
1 parking space in front of the house (unless we left by plane...). Free and free spaces in the street.

Our beach: the beach "du Verger" is 45 minutes from the house. 

Numerous possibilities for hikes from the house and surroundings.

Supermarket 7 minutes walk. Nice market on Wednesday mornings 10 minutes walk. Trolley available for shopping. 
Library, "le 5" free place of socialization where you can meet nice people. Bus 7 minutes to go to Rennes. Theater with many comedians. Etc...

Getting to my home

Rennes or Nantes airport, then bus home.  
Direct TGV from Charles de Gaulle airport (Paris) to Rennes station. 
Bus at the exit of the train station (C1) arrives 300 meters from the house.

Nearest airport

Rennes: 15 km, 
Paris/Charles de Gaule: TGV direct from CDG airport (between 3 and 4 hours by train), to Rennes train station + bus next door to get you home.

Getting Around

Many buses, 2 bikes available.  
Possibility of car exchanges in case of reciprocal exchanges.

Denise and Marc (71 and 73 years old): we are retired and love to travel. We have carried out more than 100 exchanges since 2001, on another site that has evolved, and want to refocus on traditional exchanges. 
We are curious and we travel both in France and abroad. 
Outside of school holidays, we travel together and during school holidays with our grandchildren (8, 13 and 16 years old) and our daughter, who are therefore used to exchanges. 
We love hiking, cycling, museums, festivals, architecture, meeting people. We love to cook, read, play, craft...
