House very close to the city center while being quiet. Entertainment and festivals several times a year. On foot: museums of the Navy, the East India Company, ramparts, Grande Plage and small beaches, many restaurants, from the house: small hikes around the city or further if you want: Lorient harbor, Petite mer de Gâvres, Gâvres, etc ...

Getting around

Main street 3 mins walk: bakery, butcher, supermarket, pharmacy, fishmonger, craft shops, etc.: open all year. Superb market on Saturday mornings. Pontdicherry media library 10 mins walk: map available. Supermarkets 5 mins by car (or bus) or 10 mins (Leclerc: incredible seafood section, very cheap!). Organic farm 7 mins by car or bike. Possibility to travel around the Lorient harbor for the price of a bus ticket...

Denise

Denise and Marc (70 and 72 years old): we are retired and love to travel. We have done more than 100 exchanges since 2001, on another site that has evolved, and want to refocus on traditional exchanges. We are curious and travel both in France and abroad.
