Neighbourhood

This area in the borders is famous for mountain biking and you will find lots of trails on our doorstep but also glenstress forest just 10 mins bus or car drive along the road. The village of innerleithen itself has a supermarket and few cafes and restaurants. Also you will find a few thrift shops here and hairdressers. Massage rieki health centre is situated just off the main street. You can also book a spa day at the nearby 5 star hotels with swimming pools and saunas. Peebles is your next larger town one way and galashiels is the other way. You will also find the oldest inhabited house here Traquir house https://www.traquair.co.uk/ With lovely large estate grounds. A maze is on the grounds which is great fun for children. (I can give you a tip to complete this first in your family but that be cheating I guess :) Great bus service taking you all around the borders region and also back up to Edinburgh. This bus takes bikes also. 30 mins drive by car or the great bus service will take you to Melrose where you can visit abbotsford house, the home of Sir Walter Scott. https://www.scottsabbotsford.com/
