Neighbourhood

Our neighborhood has hiking trails (panoramic views of the entire area at the top), an onsite top rated restaurant with amazing sunset views, a swim up bar, and infinity pool. The new onsite Club Eldorado is now open and included 8 pickleball courts, tennis courts, and ocean view gym and yoga pavilion, and exercise classes. Day, week, and monthly passes available.

Nearest airport

Daniel Oduber Liberia Airport (LIR) approx.- 1 hour by car, San Jose airport is an option but is around a 4-5 hour drive

Getting Around

A car is necessary to fully enjoy Guanacaste. There are no reliable ride sharing options (Uber/Lyft, etc) currently available in the area. I would recommend a SUV for ground clearance but a 4X4 is only necessary if you are planning on traveling to remote beaches, hiking trails, etc. The rainy season can be unpredictable so plan accordingly. Our immediate area is 95% paved roads and is completely paved from the Liberia airport to our home. Private tour companies/transport is readily available as well.

Elizabeth

We are a family of four who have made a new home in Costa Rica since 2019. Elizabeth, a former spa owner, and Dave, a corporate attorney able to work remotely, and our two pre-teen/teen children (one piano/tennis player and one fitness/Fortnite enthusiast). We are taking 14 months to travel the world. We love to explore both cities and more remote locations and try all of the local foods wherever we go.
