General Overview

We use this home seasonally as our retreat.  It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath simple mobile home surrounded by trees.  It is in a very small, quiet mobile home park.  We used to keep a camper/ caravan at a camp ground but we recently switched to this because it is more peaceful.  It is about 20 minutes to Ithaca, 40 minutes to Corning and 12 minutes to Watkins Glen.  NYC is 4 hours away.  It’s the half way point between NYC and Toronto.    This is our home away from home when we offer our other places as vacation rentals.

The Space

This is a very simple accommodation.  It’s a mobile home built in 1998. It is tucked up into the forest well away from the road in a 10 unit mobile home park.   It has 2 bedrooms one with a king bed and one with a queen bed.  The decor is a bit dated but everything is clean and functions well.  Both bathrooms have tub/shower combos with plenty of hot water.  Washer/Dryer, WiFi, TV, and full kitchen included.  It’s a great place to explore our region.  There is a large wooded back yard.

All on one floor.  There are stairs to enter from the deck.

Neighbourhood

This neighborhood is very rural but very close to The Finger Lakes National Forest trail system,  numerous NY state parks, Seneca Lake, Cayuga Lake and The Finger Lakes Wine Trail.

Getting to my home

A car will be needed.

Nearest airport

Approx 30 min to Ithaca Airport and  Elmira/ Corning.   Syracuse and Rochester airports under 2 hours.

Getting Around

Must have a car.  Some shops, wineries, restaurants with in 10 minutes.  Most services in Watkins Glen 12 minutes.  Ithaca city with Cornell University 20-30 minutes

We are interested in longer term exchanges of several weeks to a month or more in the southern, south western USA and any other areas with warm or mild winters.
Can be places like Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Yucatan Peninsula, US Virgin Islands, Panama.  We are always interested in Europe.  We are a retired couple with a small very well behaved non shedding dog.  Our dog can stay with our children if she doesn't come with us but we do allow a dog at our homes.  We are adventurous, non smoking, quiet and clean.  We use our homes as vacation rentals and we feel very comfortable with exchanges.
