Neighbourhood

Marple is a small town close to the Peak District and surrounded by beautiful countryside including Etherow Country Park and the Goyt valley. Ten minute's walk away in the centre of Marple there are restaurants, coffee shops and nice traditional pubs. There are also several craft beer bars, occasionally with live music. Marple has an independent cinema and local theatre. The Middlewood Way (a 15-mile traffic free former railway line) starts very close to the house and goes all the way to Macclesfield - great for cycling. Bikes are available for use. Marple also has lovely canal walks incorporating the Macclesfield/High Peak canal network including a flight of 16-locks beginning with the spectacular Marple stone aqueduct, all in easy walking distance from the house.
