General overview

We recently purchased this home in Baltimore to be close to our son and daughter-in-law and are excited to exchange it with our PLU friends. My husband and I have been exchanging homes for over 20 years and happy to be a part of this community. We have another property available for exchange in Southern California.

The space

Our Baltimore row home includes three bedrooms and four full baths and one half bath. The primary bedroom has a king bed and the other two guest bedrooms have queen beds. We have a media room for watching movies and relaxing. In addition, we have a workout room with a Peloton and weights. Roof top decks are a feature of many row homes in Baltimore. Ours is no exception. The top deck has incredible views around the city.

Guest access

We have four floors and a parking pad behind the house for your car.

Notes

We have a beautiful 11 year old Labrador retriever named Luna that may be in residence for your visit. She can always stay with our son, if you prefer to be dog-free. In addition, we have a black cat that would love to be cared for. At 10 years old, Velvet is happy to sleep away her days in the sun.

Neighbourhood

We are located in the Butchers Hill neighborhood of Baltimore. A family area with friendly, helpful neighbors who are very welcoming. It is conveniently located close to Patterson Park and Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. If you are looking to explore outside of the city, access to freeways is very easy. Baltimore is a historical Maryland city, a bustling hub full of charming neighborhoods, creative citizens, a signature drink, and fresh seafood Here are a few highlights: 1) Baltimore Inner Harbor: You might have a hard time deciding what is more fun to do at the Baltimore Inner Harbor: people-watching from one of the many waterfront outdoor restaurants and cafes or visiting one of the numerous attractions. The Maritime Museum showcases an impressive number of ships, the Observation Level of the World Trade Center offers a spectacular view of the city, and the National Aquarium houses more than 17,000 fascinating underwater creatures. You can also see the harbor as you cruise along on the Big Red Boat. 2) Baseball or Football: Baltimore natives are incredibly dedicated to their local sports teams. So even if you're not a fan, the experience alone is worth taking time to catch an Orioles game at the impressive Camden Yards or the watching the Baltimore Ravens play amongst a sea of purple at M&T Bank Stadium. 3) Museums We have plenty of museums and attractions to fill your itinerary in Baltimore. Immerse yourself in the arts at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Walters Art Museum, the American Visionary Art Museum or the Reginald F. Lewis Museum. Or spend a day of learning at the Maryland Zoo or Maryland Science Center 4) Dining What would a visit to Baltimore be without trying some of Maryland’s famous steamed blue crabs or jumbo lump crab cakes at Faidley’s Seafood in the historic Lexington Market. While food stalls like those at the aforementioned Lexington Market are great go-tos, fine dining also has a place in this city. Fine dining can be found at bistro Magdalena. Other savory hot spots include Loch Bar, Charleston, and The Capital Grille. 5) Washington DC After you’ve explored Baltimore, take a quick 40 minute train ride to visit DC’s most iconic sites.
