General overview
Modern, one-bedroom apartment located in a charming Parisian neighborhood. Ten minute walk to La Defense; excellent public transport links (only one stop from the Champs Elysées).
The space
Modern, one-bedroom apartment located very close to central Paris (5 minutes from the Champs Elysées on public transport). Up to three people can comfortably sleep here if one person takes the very large, wide sofa. (A fourth person would require using the blow up mattress but as the place is relatively small this would make it quite crowded). A new kitchen was installed in 2017, bedroom and living room repainted 2020.
50 square metres (approx 500 square feet) plus a small balcony (standing room only) .
The apartment is very bright, on the fifth floor of a seven storey building on a rather wide street; there is of course an elevator.
Free local and international telephone calls can be made from my phone.
Spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower from the street (but unfortunately not from the apartment itself - see photos).
-Living room: long, wide sofa which becomes a very comfy bed for one person; large flat-screen TV; wireless high-speed, fibre-optic internet connection; fold-up dining table and chairs.
-Kitchen: large fridge, inbuilt stove/oven; microwave; all essential equipment for cooking and dining.
-Bedroom: large double bed; closet; bedside table.
-Bathroom; bath/shower; washbasin; washing machine (in France it is quite common to keep washing machines in bathrooms).
Guest access
Fifth floor with elevator.
Notes
Only minutes from central Paris on excellent public transport links.

Neighbourhood
Courbevoie is a small, charming, bourgeois (super safe) town located only two kilmoetres from central Paris and only four kilometres from the Champs Elysées.
My apartment is situated right on the main shopping street of Courbevoie with all the traditional outlets one would expect from a typical Parisian district: boulangeries, cheese shop, wine merchants, flower sellers, fish monger's, butcher's, traiteurs etc. There are also several supermarkets, brasseries and fast food names like MacDonald's, Subway plus many more all right at my doorstep.
Excellent public transport facilites will have you central Paris in minutes.
Ten-minute walk to famous 'La Défense' district.
For New Yorkers Courbevoie is to central Paris what Brooklyn is to Manhattan. For Londoners it's like Vauxhall, Hammersmith or Islington etc
PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN DETAIL:
A) Train station 4 minutes walk from apartment with trains to the Gare St. Lazare in central Paris, journey time is 10 minutes, trains every ten to fifteen minutes.
B) Metro station 10 minute walk from apartment in La Défense where you'll find line 1 of the metro system which crosses Paris from one end to the other with links along the way to practically ever other metro line in the city.
C) There is another train that takes you from La Défense to downtown Paris, called the R.E.R. It goes much further out into the suburbs and only makes a few stops in central Paris. It is the system I personally use most. This R.E.R. will take you from La Défense to the Champs Elysées in only 5 minutes, it will also take you to EuroDisney.
Getting around
The metro (and RER trains) are a mere ten minute walk away at La Defense. There is also a nearby suburban train service with a station only a four minute walk a from my apartment

Very experienced home exchanger; I've done 65 so far and I hope to continue. I am a university professor, 63 years old, solo traveler.
I've included comments from previous exchanges (left by people I'd interacted with on another platform) in my photos on this site to show you that I'm a very honest, reliable, respectful, and clean person.
