Neighbourhood
The Hervey Bay Surf Lifesaving Club is 300m away. The beach is patrolled in summer, even though the bay is very sheltered with safe swimming. Hervey Bay is far enough south to not to have any crocodiles, dangerous stingers or cyclones. (We have arguably the best climate in Australia.)
There is a bike track alongside the Esplanade which stretches for 12km and beyond. Two mountain bikes are available if requested.
Fraser Island (now called by its Aboriginal name of K’gari) is well worth a visit. It is a short ferry ride away and dingoes can be seen in the wild.
Hervey Bay is recognised as the whale watching capital of Australia. There are numerous tour boats. The season extends from July to October.
For the kids there is a free water park (Wet Side) just a 5 minute drive away plus plenty of playgrounds, picnic tables/shelters and BBQs situated along the Esplanade.

Getting around
There is a small supermarket an 8 min walk away plus several coffee shops and restaurants but, as previously mentioned, a car is available to get to the main shopping areas - 5 min drive to Urangan Central, 9 min drive to Stockland.
A bus stop is only about a 5 - 8 minute walk. Bus times vary depending on the time of day.
