Our home is in a very tranquil, upmarket suburb of Johannesburg.

The space allows for seamless indoor/outdoor entertaining with large sliding door that open from the lounge, dining and bar areas, completely onto an enormous patio with table tennis, outdoor dining area and large braai (barbecue) for outdoor cooking, which overlooks a 10x4m swimming pool and spacious lawn.

We live in the Parks areas of Johannesburg, which is said to be the biggest urban forest in the world. We are situated across the road from the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens and Emmarentia Dam, which offers beautiful scenery and relaxing lawns and gardens to spend hours walking and picnicking. Johannesburg is jam packed with things to do, there is so much to see and do in and around this beautiful city. It is the cultural hub of South Africa, steeped in history of the Apartheid struggle, Sophia Town where Nelson Mandela spent is young adulthood is only 5 min away. The Apartheid Museum is 6 Km car drive. Hop on hop off Busses circulate nearby and can take you to historic Villacazi street in Soweto, where you can sample traditional African food. The famous Parkhurst strip is 2 km away, littered with incredible restaurants and boutique clothing stores. Johannesburg is conveniently centrally located for travel to all parts of South Africa, the World famous Kruger National Park, where you get the complete safari experience in a complete, massive ecosystem. The Pilansberg National Park can be done in a day visit, it also offers big five safari experience. Closer to home is the rhino and lion park, where you can get a sample safari just a 45min drive away and take in the cradle of human kind and wonder caves in the same day. Johannesburg is a MUST DO destination in South Africa!

Andare in giro

We are just 700m fro the closest supermarket, shops and restaurant area in Emmarentia. We have two car which we could make available and the Uber service is extremely efficient should you want a beer or glass of wine while you are out.
