We have become a member of PLU during corona and so far have had several wonderful exchanges. the experience has been great and we are looking forward to future exchanges as well to get to know new people, cultures and places. The PLU community is incredibly friendly and it feels as being part of a new family with people having similar values and ideas around sharing and trust. PLU's founder Drew, has created a community of like-minded people that works for the individual member and the group. We have witnessed its growth over the last couple of years and are amazed at the caring attitude of its members. So many times, when help has been needed for various scenarios, the Facebook page is alight with suggestions and offers; and most often a solution is found. Drew has also been consultative and responsive, adapting the website and adding features that make it easier and more efficient to use. We are happy to be part of this group!

We have been exchanging our house for 8 years now. We have done over 90 exchanges and they have all been great, some have been unbelievable. So for example just this last summer we did three exchanges back to back with a three story flat in London, a super central really cool apartment in Budapest and an unbelievable Swiss chalet in a small town with stunning views from literally every window. We were gone for three weeks and we had one night in a hotel so out total cost of lodging in that time was $170 US. In other words home exchange gave us a super long trip for basically nothing. Along the way we lived like locals, went to places out hosts recommended that were off the beaten track, made new friends and had the time of our lives. And that was only one trip! They are all like that in one form or another. There is really no better way to travel.

We've been home exchangers for many years, and came across PLU about 3 years ago. We immediately got the feel that it was a strong community - and that has proved to be the case. We've now done 4 exchanges - despite the challenges of Covid! Great site, easy to navigate, warm welcomes across the community and a growing membership - what's not to like!! ;-)
